This morning I noticed that there's a change in the way my garden soil looked. It looks dry and powdery which is somehow unusual since it rained last night and some other parts looked okay. Then as I came nearer I noticed that there were ants and lots of them, not termites but ants.
I tried to search for tips on how to get rid of those ants in my soil garden but all I ever found was rubbing a petroleum jelly on the trunk of my plant so that they won't climb, but what about my grass? And I really wanna get rid of those red ants because I think they're destroying my grass and my soil too. Please help!

Well dear. I don't think ants can harm your trees and your garden. But if you want to destroy them, just buy some poison powder, there was a lot of kind of powder at the shop, and you can kill them easily. You can ask for these: SOLFAC 10 WP (20g), Aqua Resigen. Two of this powder was made by Bayer, so I think it good. Hope your garden will be clear from ants!

A site says that lemon or orange peel can help repel them. Maybe ants don't like the smell of citrus! Try it, it's very natural and safe!

Now this one I really got to try. I've got lots of lemons in my fridge and I think that would do. I'll try it immediately. Thanks so much!

Hi, toniganzon!
My house used to be disturbed by ants a lot. My mother heard a method to deal with them:
It is said that ants like the smell of sheep bones, we put sheep bones on someplace and ants were attracted to there, then we scald them by boiled water. This progress was repeated several times. Now no ant exists in our house now.
Your situation is a bit different from ours, but I provide these information for reference.
