I read today that tigers could be extinct in 12 years if the countries they live in, like Russia, won't take proper action. It's very unfortunate and i hope the right people will do what needs to be done very soon.

Hai friends.i am from india.so you may imagine the importance of tigers to us.bengal tiger is our national animal.tigers are the animals which have high threat of extinction.the natural habitat loss is one of the major reason contributing to this.nowadays, the tiger census indicates that,if the present type of approach continues, with in one decade, the whole tigers in this earth will be disappear.so we have to conserve even the remaining species.java, caspian and Bali are the extinct species of tigers.

A lot of the killing of tigers and a major factor in pushing them towards extinction is the Chinese demand for "medicines" based on tiger body part. Put an end to that superstitious nonsense and you'll go a long way towards preserving the surviving tigers.
