Interested in a Comparison

I have been making extra money online for a year now. I have not gotten to the point where I can say that I make a decent living on here, but it does help cover extras at this point. I get a lot of gift cards to go places I normally wouldn't be able to afford to go and sometimes I get gift cards to cover expenses that are normally really hard for me to cover on my own.
What I'm interested in is the folks from other countries (I live in the US) some of these people seem to be making enough to really get by on, using the same sites I use. Is the difference of the price of living really that great? I usually cash out around 30 US dollars, is that the price of a rent bill in these other countries?
I just curious here, because it seems my attitude and the attitudes of other people from my country towards making money online is a little different than the people of other nations

Yes dismalgrin, it totally differs from one country to another. Let's take egyspt for example :
Live rates at 2010.11.22 18:34:00 UTC
1.00 USD = 5.74900 EGP [Egyptian Pound]
See what i mean,
30 bux a month means 172.47 EGP
Another example :
1.00 USD = 6.64150 CNY [China Yuan Renminbi]
30 bux a month means 199.23 CNY
For me, from where i live a dollar isn't that much when converted to Tunisian Dinar
1.00 USD = 1.41450 TND
So yeah, as you are an american citizen, you are making a lot of buxes from the internet, it depends on the place where you live, 30 bux can be an average for an american daily expenses i suppose.
What makes internet money good, even if it doesn't meet our expectation, is that it's a very easy cash, at least that's what i think.

Thanks for the comparison! American money doesn't seem so easy to come by over here. We keep on joking because our president says the recession is over, but everywhere we turn it doesn't seem like that.

Well dismalgin, one golden advice, never trust a politician, you americans know that better than anyone else around the world.
Successive usa governments keep telling us[Muslims & arab world] that during this or that presidential terms or this or that president, palestnians will have their own coutry & peace will be achieved, LOL.
But, gess what, it didn't happen, they keep telling this for more than 40 years now, haha, just don't believe politicians & everything will be just fine, keep the faith up ^_^

In the city in the Philippines especially in Manila that 30 dollars could pay a bedspace only. A decent apartment here would cost around 250 dollars a month.

Well that is still lower than it is here, I guess. Usually just for a bedroom you are talking 100 to 200 dollars a month.

yes I agree the cost of living here is much cheaper than your area. But the problem is the salary of people here are also cheap. Good thing online extra income is available now which I think we could earn as much as with other people living in other countries..

Monthly bills total at 250- 300 dollars a month! I'm so jealous! My regular income is 600 dollars a month. I'm homeless right now so it takes all of that and then some just to keep me off the streets. But when I get a place to live it's going to take all of that and then some... just to keep me off the streets. Lol.

Well, good luck with that. Like I said, I've been making money online for a year now and it is rough. You have to tap into your talents and spread yourself out to make anything. And I don't even make a few hundred a month yet. My goal is to make a few hundred as well so that in addition to my month check that I currently get I can live a comfortable life. For this reason I will do everything that I can to keep my internet because it is the portal to all else that I hope to achieve.
