It's very possible, and it happens all the time. Once on a road trip a friend of mine was sleeping with her eyes open and it freaked everyone out so much they snuck a pair of sunglasses over her eyes.
You don't need to have your eyes closed to be able to sleep because sleep is all in the brain. I don't know why we typically sleep with our eyes closed... but it probably has something to do with keeping the eyes clean.

Yes, it is possible. I have heard stories of people who have slept with their eyes open although I haven't seen one myself.

Yes i guess a person can do that. But i have only seen one person so far who could do that. He's like a night watchman now. Whenever he's on duty he can sleep because anyone would think that his eyes are open but in real he's sleeping and no one would know about that. However he was fired when the people of the colony realized this weakness in him...
Cheers!

Yes, some people can sleep with their eyes opened, well, partially opened at least. I have actually seen them sleeping. Initially, I thought they were just playing a fool and act as if they were sleep. I got a shock when I realised they ain't. I can tell you, the sight isn't very good to look at.
