I am on Facebook daily. I keep in touch with my mom who lives 1300 miles away this way. Well, I left my computer on, and chat as well. My hubby typed "would I like to have lunch with him" As I wasn't by or at my computer, I didn't see this for an hour. By then, it was too late. BUT I would have heard my cell ring..I even asked him why he didn't call? He said he didn't think about it. I really would have enjoyed having lunch with him....sigh

I hate cell phones! And to the point of email too. Why can't people just pick up the phone and make a totally free call these days!!! I swear, my kids are so addicted to their cells...I don't know what their voices sound like anymore! And my husband...he has a life on that dang thing and life literally stops when he gets a text. Why can't people just make a phone call!!!!!

That is why I have turned my chat off on Facebook. I'm either playing a game on there, and the chat window would freeze me if it popped up, or I have it open but am not actively on it. Because it's my home page, there've been times I've just opened the browser and gone to a different website, and when I go back to FB later I see someone had tried to send me a message, but I missed it because I went off the site.
