Do you think this job I applied for is lying to me?

There's this union-based job that I've been waiting to hear back from since the summer, today they finally called me and wanted me to come in tomorrow for interview and orientation. one of the documents they wanted was an original copy of my GED. Only problem is that I already gave my "original" copy to a college that requested specifically an "original" copy. I explained this to the recruiter and she said I wouldn't be able to come in and that she "would have to call me *later this month* to reschedule for December".
Okay, cool , no problem. I'm going tomorrow to pick up a new original copy of my GED. The thing is, there's only *4* business days left in November, so I'm not sure what she means by she'll call me "later this month"? Perhaps she didn't realize that this is actually the last week of November? Or is she really saying "Okay, he doesn't have his stuff together, NEXT" ??
Either way, I plan to call her on Thurs. Nov 26th or Mon. Nov. 30th if I don't hear anything, but still what do you guys think about what she said?

Come to think about it, she can't tell you that they're not considering you anymore cuz you don't have a copy of your ged right then and there. And most of the lines they say are spills. Maybe it's a spill about shutting down someone. Just a thought.

I used to work as a recruitment consultant, so I know that sometimes you completely lose track of time.
If you are going to get the new paperwork together, then I would suggest giving her a call once you have that.
Try not to call too much as I know from experience that the people that constantly call get put to the bottom of the pile, not out of spite, but simply because it sometimes comes across too desperate and doesn't help the situation.
Give her a call at the end of November, and let her know you have the stuff together, are keen to come in for an interview and then leave it at that.

I think she probly got confused in like all her work and thought it was december, because you know how some people are sometimes stressed out? That could be one possibility. Maybe she could call you later this month, maybe tommorrow. But I suggest that you call her after you get that copy of your GED. Goodluck!
