As some animals get old they tend to lose alot of their weight and look really, really thin, abit like a animal in need of food or that they are looking ill and stray.I see alot of peoples cats that over the years have gone from being really fat to like a bag of bones, mind you, us as humans are the same as we get old as well.

Actually, older cats frequently develop one of three main sicknesses which is what causes that weight loss and that "look". An overactive thyroid, diabetes, or kidney failure. Any cat that has a significant weight loss, no matter what the age, but ESPECIALLY if they are getting older, should see the veterinarian and be tested for these conditions before it's too late to help them. Most people don't realize this and think "Oh, he's just getting old," but really, he's getting old and sick. All three of these conditions, if caught early enough, can be maintained so the cat can still live out its life.

I don't want to sound like an old crank but if one takes care of their animal then they will always look healthy right up until they are ready to cross over.
I don't like China!
