Fresh flowers are great and they do really smell nice and make the house smell great. However they cost alot of money and they do not seem to last for very long.Where as the fake flowers that look real, look great for along time, also that cost the same are such a better buy i think. They keep looking new and real for years.

Careful what kind of fake flower you get. Like certian ilk flowers are EXPENSIVE!
I like fresh flowers for the scent. I tend to get them at a flower shop, as it is not good to get flowers at the grocery store. They keep the flowers by the frut, and fruit gives off a gas that win shorten and kill the life span of flowers.

Fresh flowers for the win, i always prefer fresh flowers the only bad thing is that after some time they die and you need new ones + not all of them smell as good as they look that's why sometimes it is better to get fake flowers just because they are perfect for some corner or table :)

Fresh flowers make the whole house smell nice, but the flowers seem to wilt and that is after only a few days sometimes, so to me they do not seem to be worth gtheir money. If they are from a friend as a gift that is not too bad as it is not my money that i have spent.A few days of joy can sometimes cost alot of money.

I will have to go with fresh cut flowers. I love fresh flowers more because when you have some in the house, the atmosphere is very aromatic and feels more alive lol. One of my favorite fresh flowers will have to be stargazer lilies. They smell really nice. Though they are only fresh for a few weeks, I think it is not a waste to have some sitting on the table. Fake flowers can be expensive too but ofcourse it all depends on what kind or where you get them from. I would rather have fake tall plants than small fake flowers ahah.

I prefer fresh cut flowers. They may last for a while, but that gives them more beauty. Knowing that their existence is fleeting, and so they must be enjoyed during the short time that they are fresh.

Some of the flowers that you can buy seem to die after just a few days and that seems a real shame,no matter what you put in the water to keep them alive. It the stain from the stamen that is also annoying,as you can not get the stain out of your clothes if you get it on your clothes.

Get a fake flower and put a fake flower scent in it. That would give the effect of it being a real flower.

Hi joystick! I understand your dilemma on this, for me though, what I do, if I have extra money, I buy fresh flowers since it much nicer to look at and having the fresh scent of flowers around the house is refreshing. However, when you are out of budget already, of course, having a flower decoration at home would still be great even if it's only fake/plastic flowers. So better yet, just interchange once a while, have fresh flowers and fake flowers at the same time! Cheers!

I prefer fresh cut flowers over fake plastic or silken ones. It may be more expensive buying fresh flowers but they are more beautiful for me. And they are real not fake, I don't like fake flowers. Also fake flowers gather dusts and yes you have to wash them but eventually you get tired washing them and eventually it will be ugly. Unlike fresh ones if they wilt then you just have to throw it away and into the compost pit. fake ones they don't decompose adding more trash really.
And I don't buy fresh flowers everyday only for when there are special occasions. So better have fresh flowers or just none at all.
And I have a small garden with flowers in it and also I like gathering wild flowers and arranging them into just anything freestyle.

I like the flowers that i do not have to pay for best, you know the ones, the ones that people tend to buy us,lol.I like the fake flowers that really can look real, as that way they do not make a mess and they never seem to look past their sell by date.At least with the fake ones you can keep them for ages.

Well, fresh is always best. Fake flowers are just for decoration only if you can not find fresh ones. The scent of fresh flowers can never be beaten.

I would still go for the real flowers in my house. I got my own garden in the front yard and I they make my house prettier. REal flowers are way too expensive than fake ones because they wilt and you have to change them regularly as compared to fake flowers that you only buy them one time. There are flowers that can lost longer the others like mums, I like Malaysian mums.

hi,
My vote goes to fresh cut flowers, they may look fresh for a day or two but still they are natural and gives a lively feeling with sweet fragrances.I love things that come form nature, that does not mean I don't use things that are produced by human.
When it comes to flowers i prefer natural flowers.
As you said the artificial flowers are good to look and lasts for years, completely agree with it but still they are artificial and made to look a like.
I prefer fresh flowers in my office as well home vases.
Thank you
Calpro

I would go for fake flowers because they look just as nice and you only have to buy them once. Of course on Valentine's Day, only real flowers should be given for the spirit of love.
