This is a question for ladies. I think violence is a last restort. However, when someone is looking to harm you, I think you have to hit back. For your own saftey. Anyway, I always told boys and girls/woman and men shouldn't fight. Anyway, a lot of men have started fights with me. I always finish them. I think if I back down, they will hurt me or harass another woman. Many times it's strangers. Have you ever had a man try to fight with you? Physically, not verbally.

I have fought with my classmates way back in my elementary days, I used to be such a hothead and I was taller than most boys in our class, and i was always being teased for it and my advance growth of the mammary glands. Thankfully I was able to control my urge to fight in high school and developed being sarcastic to people I don't like...

My sensei is also my husband and we spar all of the time to practice for times that I may indeed might have to defend myself. I believe all women/girls should be studying combative arts and self defense because you just never know what will occur and who will attempt what. And if anyone is attacking me I assume they mean to do me harm and I fight back. I've not had to sense I started training actually use what I am taught but I would if in that position.

My ex-husband beat me to a pulp sometimes and he truly fought me as if I were a man. The last time I would not take it and tried to defend myself, he broke my left jaw which had to be wired.
I will never let anyone ever take me to this level as they would have to kill me as I will not be able to tolerate something of what I did in the past.
