The public transport system of Metro Manila is under the jurisdiction of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), (Tel: (02) 882 4150; e-mail: info@mmda.gov.ph). To an outsider, the transport system of Metro Manila may seem baffling at first. But once you learn the ropes, it can actually be fun going around the metropolis in taxis, bus, jeepneys, LRT, MRT, tricycle and pedicab.http://www.travelmart.net/philippines/transport.html
one can still go home anytime as he want since the vehicles are accessible. but still having an own vehicle is always an advantage. the only disadvantage is about parking space. Parking is as much of a scramble as driving is, and visitors are advised to park at their hotels, although facilities are available at large shopping malls and major commercial districts, such as Makati and Ortigas Center. To reduce pollution, a congestion scheme banning cars from the capital is in effect 0700-1900 – those with number plates ending in 1 or 2 on Mondays, 3 or 4 on Tuesdays and so on, with 9 or 0 banned on Fridays.

I think the public transportation is fine here. People depend on the buses and subways. And you can go anywhere easily because of the convenient traffic lines. And the traffic jam is not very serious. I am satisfied with it.
I love China

Yea, that seems very confusing. I live in New York City and the MTA is horrible. They are constantly cutting lines, getting rid of buses, and raising fares. They are building a new 2nd Ave line and they are not thinking that there is only one inner Brooklyn train (the G) that is the most unreliable line there is. On top of that, they are broke so who is going to pay for the mismanagement of funds by the MTA? I am. They will cut even more lines, raise the price even higher, and tell us we are getting more for our money.
Then there are the cabs. If you have ever tried to get a cab to go to Brooklyn that is anywhere other then right near a Manhattan/Brooklyn bridge, you will understand. They do not know Brooklyn, they only know Manhattan. They are crazy drivers. They take the long route because they think you are a tourist. Most of the time the cabs stink to high heaven.
All in all...New York City's transportation system gets a poor rating because of the above. But of course, most people love it.
