I'm a moderate drinker and smoker, I just noticed that I tend to smoke more than my limit when I am drinking, ever experienced that?

Personally I only ever smoke if I have had a few drinks, otherwise I don't smoke at all. So in that sense, I do smoke more than I do when I haven't been drinking, haha! I'm not too sure why this is though, I do have friends who smoke regularly, but do smoke even more when drinking. Who knows? Maybe it's partly a social aspect of drinking and smoking that makes us consume more.

For me it's not just like partly a social aspect, i'm way past that stage, it's sort of an urge of some kind hahaha

Probably because it lowers our inhibitions and judgments. I know when I'm in a social situation and have had a few drinks I definitely smoke more. I'm not a particularly heavy smoker (about a pack a day), but I sometimes will chain smoke in that kind of situation. Of course, I pay for it t he next morning--chest feeling right, coughing more, and the wonderful morning stale cig taste in my mouth.
