I spend time every morning reading and studying His word. I do not know how people go through life without it! I rely on it and live by it!

I absolutely agree with you the Bible is amazing and is still relevant and applicable today as it will be at the end of times. There is nothing that can replace the Word of God. I also know that there have been revisions regarding the translation of the Bible into Afrikaans and I'm sure there are some revision for the English translation, this doesn't mean that the message has changed, only made easier to understand. I disagree with Stine1 that the different christian churches have each their own version of the Bible as the translation of the Bible is not done by a specific christian faith, but the christian council that is made up of members of all the christian faiths. What is important is that we Christians all receive the same message and that we praise God for his love.

You are so right that the Bible is the best selling book of all time. There are many versions out there, but they all have the same meaning. The Bible I am reading is the New King James Version. It has the same meaning as the original King James Version, but the wording is different, meaning, that they have the same meaning, but just different wording, or I should say, some of the words have been changed, but they have the same meaning as the original words in the King James Version. I don't know what I would do without my Bible, as I read it every morning before I get on the computer. I spend time in prayer before I read as well, as we should never read it without praying first. If I didn't have the Bible to follow, I would be lost, as by reading it, I know what I am supposed to do as God is speaking through it to each of us. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus. Take care, and have a very good day.

Wait a minute here, I think that there has been some revision of the bible through the years. First of all there is the fact that the original was not written in English and has been translated since then. That in and of itself is a revision because there are some things that have been changed when a book is translated. Then there is the fact that it was changed from Old English to more traditional English, that is another revision there. This is not at all said to discount the fact that the Bible is a wonderful book.
