You glibly shrug off these useless and draconian measures, but there are consequences to your kind of apathy.
"TSA pat-down leaves Mich. man covered in urine."
There are many among us who aren't simply complaining about being fondled and manipluted by incompetent TSA "leadership". For many, going 8-10 hours without food or privacy is more than just a comfort thing.
This man was forced to board the plane with his clothes soaked in urine. Why? Because YOU don't have a problem with the new "security" measures, even though they don't do crap for security.
Go sit in your own urine for a while if you think this is just a matter of "comfort".

I just read about this last night. It's sad and disgusting and if ANYONE else besides TSA had done this there would be criminal charges and a multimillion dollar lawsuit. When was the last time a 61 year old cancer survivor hijacked a f$@king plane? I'm disgusted by this crap and it needs to stop NOW. Anyone who supports this garbage should just pack their bags, get a good groin check, and take a flight to Cuba where they can live in a state that treats people the way the TSA is treating people right now.

it is just flight security taskr. irritating, badly done and pointless certainly. outrageous - not really. panic about a police state once you get things like this done in the street. the police asking random people for id or searching them/their bags would be worrying. getting that when you fly is to be expected to some degree. course they are going overboard now. we have got increased security here too. it is really annoying but basically just a sop to passengers to make them feel more secure/irritated.

Why should I wait till the tyranny is literally on my front doorstep? You know a lot of Germans didn't mind what Nazis were doing at first. By the time they had issues with it it WAS on their front doorstep and it was already too late to do anything about it.
Tyranny needs to be stopped when and where it starts. There is NEVER a time when it is appropriate to grab a person's genitals without their consent and without probable cause. Did you know that anyone who refuses to be groped in this manner gets punished with a $10,000 fine in addition to being unable to board their plane and getting no refund for their ticket?
Simply put, we have a constitution that bans this type of invasive search without probable cause. TSA is a federal agency that MUST follow the constitution.

it is NOT tyranny taskr and hyperbole like that does not make your case stronger. it is excessive flight security that is pointless and irritating, with some apparently badly trained personnel doing the frisking. please stop playing the nazi card whenever something irritates you.

I have read so many things about this and several other incidents over the last few days that it's disgusting.
With everything that's gone wrong with TSA pat downs recently, I'm quite surprised that these searches haven't been suspended pending proper TSA training.
This has got to stop, and sooner rather than later.
The guy with the knee problem, the young boy being strip searched in front of everyone, the bladder cancer guy. This is absolute insanity.
I wonder if there are any guidelines set for these TSA people, or if they have free reign to do whatever they want to people.
It should be considered molestation, and needs to be stopped. It's gone on long enough, even if it hasn't been going on for very long.
The more I read about these incidents, the more I lean towards this program ending asap. I was one who was indifferent to this, until these incidents were made public.
I had thought originally, and have now changed my mind, that the boy could possibly be a dug mule for his father, and that they had the right to strip search him. I did think that they should have done it in private, away from the other passengers though. But after reading more on these incidents, I have changed my mind, and think that this was something that shouldn't have been done.
When you think about it, these TSA people may be doing their jobs, but what job is that? To terrorize the public? To make them fear flying? Is it not enough that people were afraid to fly after 9/11, that now they have to instigate this fear all over again?
They should all be fired, new people hired and properly trained to prevent things like these from happening.

Since they are a government entity, I'm sure there our countless reams of regulations... which no one ever reads, but everyone quotes from. ;~D
I don't know about firing them all, but the policies do need to change.

Apparently the leadership of TSA is counting on apathy and 'blind trust of the people', since they are making no effort to improve the situation. It is more like a battle of wills between TSA harassment policy and the will of the people. That is very similar to the approach obama has portrayed to the people in his first two years.

I have seen so many instances. People missing flights, being truly assaulted. I will not trade my freedom for a false sense of security. I will nit fly until they change this. The airports have the option to "opt out" of TSA. American consumers must insist they do this.

People who are afraid are easy to lead. They will do whatever it takes to feel "safe". Governments like to keep their populations fearful. This is not true of the present government alone by any means. People who are in the grip of fear place implicit trust in their rulers to protect them, to make the decisions that will keep them from harm. The result is the usually that those people have to give up certain rights and, in turn, make those governments more powerful.
Terrified people do not think clearly, do not analyze, react instead of making careful, well thought out decisions.
