In todays cinema technology, many movies has been released in 70mm format. Movie seeing experience increses in 70mm screen. But IMAX theatres goes well beyong 70mm format. IMAX -" Image maximization " has a larger screen format than 70mm. But most people prefer 70mm screen only. I too personally like the widescreen 70mm format for watching movies.
In Which format do you like to see movies in theatres?

Well, obviously watching in IMAX would the optimal viewing experience since it has a very large screen and nice loud surround sound, so I'd say that's my favorite. However, I've only seen about 5 or so movies in IMAX in my lifetime because the tickets are pretty expensive. "The Dark Knight" and "Avatar," as well as "Speed Racer," were pretty awesome in IMAX. But even though it's the best viewing experience for me, watching on a regular screen is cool, too. IMO, it depends on your viewing distance from the screen. I like it when it fills my field of vision (but not too close).
