too much sun exposure is bad for albino's skin

Albinos have sensitive skin. Since we don't have melanin and that's the reason why we have white skin, we don't have protection from the sun. Doctors are advising me to wear sunglasses every time I go out and put sunblock for skin protection. According to them we are much prone to skin cancer. When I was a kid and we are not aware of my condition, we went on a beach snd I swam for hours under the sun. I didn't put lotion instead we put oil on my skin the next day my skin is so pinkish and it hurts so much and to the point that it has water like "paltos". Since then we look for a solution for that problem. Every time I go to swim I need to put on sunblock or lotion and put ice on my skin after I swim and take a cold shower to cool it off. Since then I haven't experience that incident bak when I was a kid
