I watched this movie and was really impressed! I expected Jaden Smith do do a pretty good job but I did not expected the amazing level of talent he displayed. He must have trained non stop to to perfect the speed and Karate moves he performed. I thought it was a super great movie and better than the original one. I cried, and yelled louder than the kids I was watching it with. LOL
If you had seen the movie what did you think of the movie and Jaden's performance? If you have not seen it will you try to watch it?

Hi. whiteheather39. I have watched an extended clip of Jaden starring in The Karate Kid. I loved it! I was so excited to watch this movie and I know that I would have loved watching the full version of it too. Jaden is a wonderful actor. I agree with you that he must have trained non stop because his moves were amazing! I have not watched this movie in its entirety, but I do plan to.

He's a really smart boy , takes on after his dad Will Smith well. I've very impressed with this family and how cool all of them are. I watched the movie and was not surprised at his talent. But nevertheless , super impressive and expected. He has set the bar high for the rest of his family members. Real talented kid.

I agree. He did a pretty good job. When he was being beaten-up, he really looked it. You can really feel the pain and bruises he has.
The title seriously needs to be changed. There was no Karate in that movie. The plot was basically the same, but the martial art was already Kung Fu.
I loved the scene when Jackie Chan was crying. He made me cry!
Well I certainly view jackets differently now :)

I was surprised how many different emotions a kid's movie made me feel. I laughed, cried, felt the physical and emotional pain of Jaden and Jackie Chan and yelled when he won. Plus I think it was a super ending, the turn about of the bad kid and his friends.

i also had fun watching karate kid and its really unexpected for a new kid doing all those stuffs. he must be really trained to do all the moves and stunts he had showed. at the same time he is also really talented like his parents thats why he is a wonderful kid. he is also fun to watch and very good at making people laugh. hope he had more movies to create. way to go Jaden!

That is what really impressed me was that it must have taken a lot of really hard training to perfect all the moves he made.

He is even better than his dad. He acts naturally and have those moves. That is really awesome. And he is thin yet muscular. How could he have a body like that. Is he having gym lesson?

I haven't personally seen this movie but my daughter has. She extremely enjoyed it and couldn't stop talking about it to me. How good Jaden was and how he has his father's facial expressions. She said that how hard he trained is in the making of the Karate Kid and she said he was in serious training for about three months or more I can't remember exactly what she said she was talking so fast.

I've already watched it months ago. It was awesome! The setting, the story and the actors, all are fantastic! Especially when this is a Jackie Chan movie and the child actor is already so good, when these two people combine, it equates to a highly successful movie! I like the part when Jackie came out to help Jaden from those bullies and especially the ending part, where Jaden came out with the fatal move. HAHA!

Hiya heather,
No I have not seen this Film yet. But I have seen loads of Jackie Chan ones they are really good too.
One of them was where Jackie had to put on a Suit and it transformed him into a kind of Superman this was a really good one that I had never seen before and really enjoyed it as well.
I will look out for the other one though as well. It must be a good one from what I can see reading all this here.

Hi! I didn't know Jaden was the son of Will Smith until my daughter pointed it out to me. I saw the movie twice (the second time was a home movie) and at both times, the kid impressed me...at how well he could act out different emotions. And he is funny, too, just like his dad. He is good and the movie is great action movie.

I saw this movie with my mother since she would never pass out any movie that Jackie Chan is in, and well, I also adore him. I totally loved the movie! I even bought a DVD, and can't help replaying the part where Jaden made a face while doing his move in the tournament! To those who haven't seen this, you should see it! It's a guarantee that you'll cry and laugh your heart out!
