There is a good idea why no one really thought of this.

Sometimes I come up with an idea that seems like a good idea in theory. It is something that no one has come up with. For something that is quite frankly absurd when giving it more thought. There are good reasons why no one has never thought or or done certain things. Now granted, there are always going to be good, fresh ideas but there are many more that are not a good idea to do.

I've come up with what I thought was a good idea, but then I share my idea with someone else and they point out all the flaws in the idea and I realize it wasn't so good after all.

True, but look at all the absurd things out there now that are making someone money.
For instance, I have a friend who has a 12 year old son. He wears these colored rubber band-like things on his wrist all the time. They come in all different shapes and sizes and colors. Apparently all his friends have them too, and they trade them. They are quite popular in his age group, according to him, but to me they seem silly. BUT someone is making a killing off of these silly things.
So maybe even if it seems absurd later or the next day, you should keep following the idea. No telling what silly or absurd thing will catch on now days.
Just my 2 cents.

Very true. There are some completely out there things that given sane thought should not work. But they do. Of course at one time it might work, but at the next time, it could be really be seen as absurd. It is a matter of timing in many ways. Thank you for your response. Are you saying that when we come up with an idea, at the time it is a great idea, although it may be it absurd of an idea after giving it more thought later??

I was saying that it is something that does seem like a good idea, something that we are excited about. However, given more thought, it could end up being something that it could be absurd. It could be great but once the initial excitement wears off, there is a chance that the idea could go sour. Thank your for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well.
