I am wondering if it is a good idea to take Align. I have a sample pack and was thinking of trying it out. Do you take probiotics and if so do you take Align?

about a year ago i had a problem of abdominal cramping and bloating.my primary care doctor told me to take Align but it didn't help.then i went to a GI doctor and after he scoped me and everything was ok he told me to take a different probiotic, Florastor and it did the trick.but i have to take it continuously.

I am going to try it I think. I guess it wouldn't hurt.

And if the Align doesn't do anything, and you're interested in probiotics, I highly suggest you research brands in your area and try them. In Canada we have an awesome brand that has a special coating to protect the probiotics from stomach acids. They're called Jamieson Laboratories. They also have some great information.
As we get older, our bodies stop supporting our natural probiotics and we need an extra kick anyway. My mother-in-law takes them every day, and says she feels more energetic and less hungry now than before she started taking them. After a round of antibiotics, I find I feel less sluggish after I start taking them. Some people say they feel no effects at all, but if they can help at all, why not take them? Like you said, it wouldn't hurt.
I dunno... I'm a huge supporter of natural remedies and homeopathy. So I'll always suggest people take stuff like probiotics.

I take probiotics every time I need antibiotics or when I'm stressed out. Even the vet suggest giving them to the dogs during stressful times and after any antibiotics are needed. Although I have never heard of Align.
Probiotics are beneficial for when your body is deficient in those probiotics. Taking probiotics won't really do anything if your body's natural flora is in good shape. However, taking probiotics when your body doesn't need them won't do any harm.
I'd take them. But in reality, you're not going to see much of a difference unless you're taking them for at least a month.

I've never heard of that probiotics. But I'm taking Green Barley and Intra which is very effective. I'm into these herbal supplements because of health reasons. I've been taking alot of medicines since I was a kid. At my age, I was prescribed by my doctor some medicines for maintenance and it's good to combine them with herbal supplements to avoid side effects and protect other organs.
