just watching the nutty proffessor. incase any of you dont know what it is about, then its about an extremely overweight professor who drinks a potion to make him lose weight, because he has fallen in love with a tutor that is based at the same college. but after a while keeps going back to being overweight. if you was overweight would you drink a potion to help you lose the weight, even if it is for a small period of time? what is your opinion on this? would you want to try this or try to lose weight dieting, exercise, etc? if it was me i dont think i would because i wouldnt want to keep going back to my original size, so i would lose it by dieting.

If only it would be that easy. I think that if someone ever did invent something like that, they would be the richest person in the world. Of course, you just wonder in real life, you would really need to keep up with something like that and re-take it on a regular basis. Just like many other diet aids that are on the market. If you stop taking it, the weight may return and then more. Still I'd imagine that would be the key of why the person who would create such a thing and market it would be rich.
I think that exercise is really the best. Diets can be hit or miss. You might get some short term results but really in the end, diets just lead to a lot of stress for me. And stress can lead to eating and we're just back to square one. So I think that in the end, just stick with a steady exercise regime and just keep a close watch on what you eat and you should be fine.

i suppose if you do it right and its a diet that works and is right for you then the exercise helps.

I'm a believer in the 'no pain no gain' mantra myself. At least most of the time :-p. I mean, you'd be more likely to keep off the pounds knowing how hard you've worked to lose it, right? Same goes with all other aspects of life. Besides, have always been cynical of quick fixes..there's always gotta be a catch, lol.

I would agree that you will feel far better for yourself if you were to work off the weight that you have. I would say that you really would have to work hard and yes you will get tired and there will be lots of pain but the end result which is that of losing weight and being more healthy is far worth the pain and punishment you would need to put your body through. I guess maybe some people that are big would love to have a quick and easy fix to the problem but there isn't one and so you have to hope that they are determined enough to get themselves in shape and stick to it no matter of how much it hurts, in the end it will all be worth it.

No I don't think I would drink a potion to lose weight. I will stick to plan old exercise.

Yes! I think that would be interesting just to see what it's like to be uber-thin for a day. Just to go out and get all this attention and wow everyone with your body. Ah. I would probably continue to diet & exercise while doing this. But it would be like a totally different world. I could stand to use about 30 pounds right now (probably more now, I've been eating really unhealthily lately).. And it would be cool to see what it was like just for a day or two. Of course, you wouldn't want to get carried away.. But still. Of course, I think in the movie, it changed his personality a bit - and not in a good way (when he was thin, he was a jerk). I wouldn't want to change in that respect.

What a great film this is, i have watched it many times and it is still good, i don't get bored of watching it and i find that eddie murphy is such an amazing actor. In this film he brought so much comedy to it. Well, you can tell that he feels she won't really see him in that way while he is a big guy and so when he take the formula and turns into buddy love you see the way she then sees him and so this shows that he has a better chance while much thinner, although obviously the heart in the end of the film proves more important than the weight. I am not overweight, i am just at the right size so i have just been told by my doctor. I guess we could all exercise more, eat smaller food portions and watch what we eat more but this doesn't always get the weight off. I would not mind a miracle cure drink, just so that i could lose about a stone, maybe 2 stone, but instead like the film, id rather it stay off than come back on, that really could be embarrasing when wearing clothes, just like in the film where he bulges out everywhere when he is in small clothes and changes back to his normal size. Unfortunately there is never going to be a miracle cure and so it has got to be effort we put in ourselves if we want to lose weight. Also, wouldn't we feel better about ourselves if we lost weight the natural way rather than cheating by using something like this? I know for certain i would feel as though i am taking the easy way out and cheating my body. What would be good with this miracle cure is that we would be able to eat as much as we want, then when the weight starts to come back on we just take another drink, but still i guess i would prefer the natural methods instead of a so called possible miracle cure.
