Have a friend who visited in New York October. It was a big deal..first vacation in ages. She said her hotel had bedbugs. Apparently they were all over. I googled and found that apparently the problem is bigger than just her hotel. I found an article that states Mayor Bloomberg has set up an advisory board because of over 25,000 complaints. Other major cities Boston, Philly, Cincinnati all have had similar problems in the last 10 years or so. Anyone else ever have this problem when traveling??

Hi ersmommy1, I haven't had this problem personally, but I have been reading a lot about a wide spread of bedbugs around the country and the world. Apparently there is a bud bug outbreak in the US, according to some experts, the worst since the 1940's That doesn't mean that anywhere you go, it will be infested with bed bugs, but you have to be aware. The problem is that the bed bugs have to be controlled by professional exterminators, since these little critters are hard to get rid of.

Wow this has to be so irritating. Although I have never experienced this I have heard of some who have and according to them it is not easily visible until they starting biting and nipping at you.
