How would you react if the doctor told you: "You have cancer." ?

I've heard many stories of people becoming so shocked when they hear those three words from the doctor. Usually, they feel as if they are going to die in the next three months or something. I was listening to this lady speaking on TLC saying that her heart almost stopped and she was in complete awe. She said she couldn't see or hear anything. It turned out that she didn't have cancer. Just a parasite in her body. I personally would be scared and long for my life. What would you do?

I would shout with a shocked face and then jump out of the building. If it's in the ground floor i'll do it in the penthouse.

I would hope I would be strong and be able to fight it. However, at first thought I would probably want a second opinion. If that came back for sure that I had it then I would probably fall apart for about 5 minutes and then do everything in my power to fight and conquer the cancer. I would also not tell alot of people because when you put it out there it seems to make people feel sorry for you more and makes it worse for everyone including the one with the cancer.

I have to say I would just like the lady on the program, where as my first reaction would be to be in shock. I would think how my life is over and would not be able to see my children for further years.
But then I have to get a hold of my senses and think clearly as to how I can beat it.
