What you didn't learn at school and wish you had?

So we are taught that going to school and finishing a course will get us a better life and future. We are forced to take a set of curriculum for ten to twelve years, learn higher levels of science and maths that at the end of the day just trivial. Undoubtedly, we learned a lot in school but did we really get to apply these learning in real life?
With a lot of self-made millionaires who didn't even get to finish anything, is the traditional education still applicable to this day?
Correct me if I am wrong, don't we all have been focusing on building at least a self-sufficient and financially stable life from the time we left school? The thing is, twelve years of education (or even after graduating college) we are still squabbling for ways and means on how to achieve this.
I wish we were taught as early as possible real life education such as financial literacy, so we know how and where to find financial resources, know how to handle our finances and learn early how to produce real life investment results.
Can you relate anything that you wish you learned from school that you wish you had or you can add/ comment on this post. Thanks in advanced for reading.

i wish I'd learn about programming in high school...(I wouldn't have had a head ache in my first year of college) I wonder about that sometimes too- if education really matters now. I think it still does, but perseverance and hard work maters too. I also hope that they would teach us to handle real life problems...and the like

I also heard many people saying that those difficult subject/lessons that they had in school weren't even applied in real life-ever..I wonder why they make us study those when we don't even get to use them- maybe it gives us a higher value for companies (we know more)??
