Yes Jtfever it is possible specially if u two didn't had the chance to say goodbye to each other. Other thing would be if u r feeling sad or missing her A LOT probably she is trying to communicate with u to let u know that everything is fine. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I think that it's certainly possible that she is sending you some kind of a sign. I do think that sometimes spirits of loved ones have their way of sending us a message.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your mom. I have lost my dad a couple of years ago, and have been noticing little things all the time, and I do believe it is him. Everyday on my birhtday I get a little present and I do think it is from him. One time I found a gold heart pendant, the other time I won the lottery. I like to believe it is him looking out for me and wishing me a happy bday. I also think that it is very good possible that it is your mother just letting you know that altough she is not psychically here anymore she defenitely is in spirit.
