How you define BEING SUCCESSFUL?

For me, being successful is being contented and happy with what you have. You can be rich in material things, but still could not feel successful because you are not contented with what you have. It's also when you feel good about yourself, like what you've said. You know that you make a difference in a person's life, so you feel happy with it, because by helping them, you made yourself feel good. Based on your checklist though, here's how I check out. I don't know if I'm good looking, but I'm not hideously deformed or scarred. I work as a front liner so I guess I have pretty enough face. I don't have my own house, I live with my parents in a house that they own. I don't have my own car, but I drive my own car. I share it with my brothers technically since our uncle and aunt gave it to the three of us, but I'm the one who mostly drives it. I'm way at the bottom of my company, one of the rank and file employees that can be pretty much disposable. I earn enough for me most of the time. I travel at least once a year to the US, but that's because as an airline employee, I have travel benefits. I have all the gadgets that I need, but still I want to have more. Despite of all the things that I have, I don't really feel successful. I'm thankful and happy with them, but somehow I want more.

Being happy, basically. And that might mean different things for different people, so it really depends on the person. I would be happy if I was financially secure, had a lot of free time and had a great family. But that's just me...

Hi, you're right! Being successful doesn't really mean about material things! It's about being contented about things. Like now, I lost a lot of weight and I already have my desired weight. I call it success. It's about being happy and satisfied about what you have achieved.

Actually I am not sure your list at the end has anything at all to do with being successful. If you are happy with yourself and the way you live this life every day.. that's success. That has nothing to do with what you have and whether you are rich or poor, just doing the best with what you've got and treating yourself and others properly.

Being successful is to be happy on the road that life takes you. We can't choose where and how we will fail or succeed. All we can do is try to make the most of what we have,. If this makes us happy, then we are successful.

I do believe in what you have said that health is wealth. I know so many people working so hard just to earn a living and to attain such a succesful thing in a blast but end up to a very serious sickness. You can attain the success you want if you also take care of your body, diet and rest do count. And in a process, I also learned how to be a health conscious person.

Being successful for me too is being contented and happy- having everything i need. i am not successful yet since i haven't finished school. but one day I know I can be successful if I just work hard without stepping on people.
