Does anyone read those self help books. You know the ones that are to help you become a better person financially and help you make millions. So far i've read "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and "How come that idiots rich and i'm not" Rich Dad Poor Dad was way more worth it. He breaks it down for you real simple but the "How come that idiot book is all about buying alot of real estate and selling and buying and selling and buying more and more real estate. I mean what if that's not what i want to do. I just want to park my money somewhere and get a good interest in the long run. Anyone know some names of good self help books?

Yes I do read self-help books, and there was one I read written by a local author which was inspired by Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He wrote it to have the principles on the book applicable to Filipinos. I haven't really applied what I've read and whether it'd work for me. Like you said it's mostly about real estate and that isn't really at the top of my interested on list.

I have read quite a few in the past, the names of which escape me but I usually read the ones that are mood boosters. They're full of life affirming quotes and feel good passages and I have found in the past that they often have something to offer.
However I do not believe that a person who is struggling, has hit rock bottom and is depressed to rely on a self help book to pull them out of the depths of hell. Sure, some books may be a wake up call and very helpful but I think they should be used more as a guide to help you with whatever journey you're on.

I do read some books that would be considered "self-help." But it is books like "The Birth ORder Books" and such. I usually don't purchase any books about finances since I figure I can start saving by not buying their book with the latest fad! I could probably use some help in that area though if I found a good, reasonable book on how to really be frugal and manage my finances. I seriously do not make enough to play with investments...

Hi,
I read books a lot and out of them most are personality development and life skill books which in other word are also called as self help books. My favorite books are Leadership by the book by Ken Blanchard, The leader in Yo by Dale carnegie and Rich Dad poor dad by kiyosaki.
There are many more books and Napoleon Hill is also one of my favorite author.
Happy Reading

Napolean Hill's book, Think & Grow Rich is another that comes to mind. I had a whole list of them when I did property school about 5 years ago, but the person who borrowed my notes hasn't returned them, took over $10k in cash, dvd's, equipment, etc, etc & done a runner. Looks like you're on the right path. Hope it all works out for you. Trust no-one with your money. No one.
