Do you think that the internet has gone too far exposing the private lives of people posing as social networking?

once you joined the social networking site it means that you are allowing them to expose yourself. we are not dictated to do that and if there are chances that we are being scammed it's also our fault. if we don't want to be exposed then there's no sense in joining and posting pictures as well.
