i actually like it. for me, it's the best harry potter movie adaptation. i don't mind that the movie was split into two parts. i liked seeing the details on screen so i was satisfied with the movie. some people doesn't like it though since it doesn't have much action in it yet. i would defend it by saying that the best action sequences are happen later in the book. i think that as a harry potter reader, people would be quite satisfied with the movie but people who have not read the book wouldn't like it as much as avid reader. what do you think? do you share this opinion as well?

I have to say that the first part was really good despite the somewhat over the dark treatment of the film. The whole film has a good pace in the plot but the end was the ultimate cliffhanger hanger form me. There are little deviations from the book and the facts but those things are forgivable (as long as I don't encounter too many or I'll drop the movie entirely). However, what really impressed me the most is the special effects of the film. Most worth mentioning is when the scene where Ron was supposed to destroy Black's locket. Lo and behold and there's a surprising scene and fabulous acting from both Harry and Hermione.
I really haven't read the book but I did spoil myself by knowing some things that were mentioned both in the movie and the book. I guess we're all anticipating the next movie more eagerly than the first.

Yup, I agree with you. It turned out better than I expected. When I watch Harry Potter films, I don't expect that I'll be satisfied with it since I have higher expectations from reading the books. But this one, I really liked it, I even watched it twice in the cinema.
I really liked that scene you were talking about. Hermione was so pretty! It was very believable, nice kiss too.

I am yet to watch that so I cannot give a satisfactory review on it here! But going by the series of Harry Potter which I have already seen and red about in the past, I believe no Harry Potter stuff disappoints!

i gotta tell you, this movie is better than all the other ones. they made a good decision of splitting the movie into two. that way it covers pretty much all the details in the book.
