Are you worried about your life?

Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems pointless? You're going to work, going home, going to work, going home . . . Maybe you think that it's just now, better days will come soon and you'feel alright. But it seems like it will last forever afterall. Don't you think that most of the people are not living the life they want? Don't you think that most of the people's dreams never come true? If that's all correct, where's the point in living? I mean - why? My question to you now is - What do you do when you feel like that? And what's your opinion on this theme? Thank you!

Welcome back, we've missed you! Mmm, interesting question you ask there my friend. Well, I'm one of those people that didn't used to worry about anything really. The reason for that was; I had a steady job with a decent income and money to do - basically, what I wanted with it. I had freedom. Important word, freedom. It allows us to plan ahead, to go on holidays, to save for that "big thing" you always wanted. However, once that income has gone and the freedom that came with it..that's when the worry comes in. Suddenly, everything has changed, you (maybe) are living somewhere different and it's not the same as the place you left behind and there is nothing you can do about it. Then you find out that the place you left behind is just as bad for the unemployed looking for non-existent work. Where do you go then? Abroad? Nope, it's the same there too! So, what I'm trying to say is, the lack of finances play a part in my "worrying" but a lot of it I can't do anything about, like the cutbacks to the local authority where I would be working if I could. The private sector is the same whether the government thinks so or not. They aren't taking anyone on either. I do dream a lot and I am an optimist. It's what keeps me going. Dreams are free, right? It doesn't make me feel any better that there are many people worse off than I am. It adds to the anxiety, something I didn't suffer from until the "downturn." I reckon - the way the world is shaping up - the world of work will change beyond recognition. There will definitely be more homeworking via companies who can't afford to keep their offices open anymore plus there will be office-sharing, something that was unheard of in the past because of Health & Safety concerns. All that goes out the window when the country is skint! Will the situation improve? To be honest, I don't think it will. Not for a long time but, like I said, that is something I can't do anything about and I wish I could! I would be more worried if I was my nephew's age..he will be 21 on Christmas Eve and is completely different to when I was his age, even though it was tough to find work at times. Tom is lucky if he gets a couple of weeks work as companies now have this "casual" attitude that can lay people off with no notice. It's going back to the Dark Ages and I don't like workers being exploited this way. Here Endeth the Lesson on Unemployment in the UK.

How I love to read your posts. I often think there are Guardian Angels in here that make an appearance when you least expect it and their sole purpose on here is to cheer people up. Continue to be the eternal optimist you so clearly are and you shall go far my friend. Depression doesn't bear thinking about does it? I have the same problem with courses. I can't actually afford to go on any (some used to be government funded, but not anymore) although I remain hopeful that courses may come along eventually so oldies like myself can better ourselves. The government will have to do something soon because there aren't any jobs to go for. Better to make us feel useful in other ways, eh?

Hi, Janey! It's nice to see that you're still here! That's actually one of the things I do like about mylot ;) People are walking around here on a regular basis. You can meet nice pals! And you know where to find them :) Anyway, I totaly agree with you! We think we're able to control our lifes, finances etc. and just follow our dreams. Unfortunately, that's not correct! We face destiny and most of the time we're unable to change things as we prefer. I'm a big dreamer as well, Janey! Still positive, with dreams for better days! I was studing Mass Comunications and just before my graduation I had to stop on pause because of financial problems. My family wasn't able to help me anymore, I had no secret "jokers" as well . . . So, that's what happened! now I'm full-time car hire agent. I earn enough to make a living (this is not including any holidays and such things at all). I can pay all domestic bills, I can easily go out in a club or restaurant once a month . . . but that's all! The only difference now is that I'm working and earning a little bit more than what my parents used to give me. I'm still living in apartment on rent, still not able to have my own place, still no money for dreams. And do you know, I still have hope for better days! And somehow I know that my current situation won't remain forever! Thank you, Janey! Hope you have a good time!!!

Life does have bad days and has good days. Then there are just days that we lived. There are some very real concerns that are going to occur and that could really cause some worries. Some worries are small. Some of them are really larger. Some of them are in between. Yet, it is just things that we are going to deal with. No matter how much we hope for, life is not going to be easy. It is not really going to be easy, as that is just the way life is. There are just many things to deal with at life. There are times where I worry about how I am going to get out of a situation intact. There are going to be some times where there are situations that really do test our mental abilities. A part of life however. There are going to be many times where we are going just lose our minds with worry. However, what does not kill us does make us stronger and fighting those worries give us valuable lessons in life.

Yes, I am worried about my life. As time goes by, I grow older and older. And that means to say that in the future you may not find a good job easily if you lose your current job. And no job means no income. Now everything's price keeps higher and higher. We have to still pay for so many bills and today the health care charge can be crazy expensive. I am concerned about it. And right now my child is little. And we have to spend more time for him and hope he can study well and grow up to be a good man. Everything is not easy. I love China

Honestly, I can say that I've never ever felt like there was no point at all to my life. Granted there are times that I feel like there are aspects of my life that I am not really happy with at all. However, there is also the fact that I am the mother of two wonderful children and they are a part of my life that I will be happy about no matter what happens in my life. Therefore, though there are things that I'm unhappy about in my life, I am able to have a ray of sunshine throughout everything.

There was a time when my life was so monotonous. Doing the same thing every day, waking up for a job that is no longer challenging, in fact I had to skip work and just to stay at home to figure out myself. I felt pretty useless then and I was bothered. Luckily the Lord heard my prayer and gave me back my drive to change things in my life and appreciate it more. Now my life isn't as boring as it used to.

I am worried about my LIFE. WHO we are?? WHERE we are?? What about our FUTURE? And other questions. But I'm happy to have FAITH in GOD. This is what gives SENSE to my life. Probably who do not think about it, is a person who do not have faith in ANYTHING. Consecuently, I could think that YOU have precious VALUES and important IDEAS in your soul.

Yes, I do! I can even say that I'm still following my dreams. But it's all very complicated! The thing is that I'm too busy with my full-time job. I can hardly find some time to work on music and shows now. You know, it's all about money.

Yes most of the time, I feel its become routine. Nothing new at office nor at home to be motivated enough, same routine things to do every day. Sometimes I really enjoy everything but most of the times it is boring. When you change a job or so it will be bit challenging otherwise it will become normal. Taking vacations will be a right choice for all such feelings.

Yeah I think that's life all about maybe we just need to relax sometimes. Learn to appreciate things around us not just focusing on our daily activities. Plan each day, so that we will not be a prisoner of routine activities

I feel like that quite often since the economy has been so bad and I don't have a job to go to. When that happens I try to do something good like cheering up the cashier at the store or helping an old person load their groceries or returning their cart to the cart corral for them. I spread around some good feelings because I can make a difference in someone's life and validate my own reason to be here. My adult children keep me going more than anything. I am still needed and loved and I keep reminding myself of that.

Yes this is always what I feel from time to time and I can feel this until Oi solve the problem i am facing now. Really the worst thing happen to me if having a financial problem. This really a burden to me so if ever that this is getting okay and I will have an answer about this problem everything gonna be okay. Why money is always the problem of people and from this others are committed sins. Now about the question if I am worried about my life? Life where? here or on the other world? My answer is yes. Life on the other side of the world. My destiny.

Yes I grow worried about my life pretty frequently. I see myself slowly getting close to goals that seem pretty far out of reach, but yet I know that my life will continue to stay the same if I don't make steps towards trying to change it. I would have to say that a lot of my worries come from financial problems, and trying to find ways to earn enough money to pay for everything that I need to in life. Thoughts like this only pile up as I think about how if I don't work my buns off at college I risk the chance of wasting my money invested in tuition. I also risk the chance of wasting my time if I happen to fail any of my classes, so I don't have much of a choice but give my time over to some of my classes and my homework. The thought that I will be stuck working the same crappy restaurant jobs I've been confined to for the past five years if I don't succeed with my education also weighs me down sometime. I find the best way for me to squash these ideas is to try and keep my mind occupied or entertained. If I go on the internet and start doing online work or type on mylot or something like that it usually helps me to take my mind off the bullcrap that the world throws at me. Playing and listening to music also provides me with great relief from feelings of inadequacy. Overall the thing that best gets me over the anxiety, is the realization that the worry will do me no good but drag me down. Staying focused and motivated is the best way to face worry so that way you can keep making steps towards working your way out of stress

I have this feeling very often and has very bad effect on me. I have left a good job due to this feeling 2 to 3 times before. Every thing seems to be useless. So this time I have made sure that I have so many commitments which only I can fulfill and will not leave the job again. When I still get this feeling I go to a corner and cry a bit and then immerse myself in work or go out for shopping and spend a big amount. After this I feel better and continue my work.

Hi, Today is the result of yesterday's actions and tomorrow will be the result of Today's actions. If you want to lead happy and worry less life, make your today productive than we need to wait for better days. Ever day will be a better day, If today we are in problems means it is the result of yesterday or yesteryear actions. In my opinion be careful in your today's actions for a peaceful tomorrow. Have a great day Calpro

Heh, tell me about it, but let's get to the answering What to do? Well, do a hard right from that path and find something closer to your dream, it's really strange how people don't do things on the way to their dreams and would rather go 180 towards other people's dreams and paths, and even when they could switch they don't Anyway, I think people should just be hones with them selves, if you don't like something and know it's not going to be pleasant, don't do it, and if you have to, realize that and make it pleasant rather than saying you hate it For example, you don't like your job Just think "Hey, I hate this job, but if I save some money from it, I'll be able to get some study done on what I want and get the heck out of here" It's really like everything else in life, just try to not worry and be happy

It is just a waste of our earthly existence to worry about the future. I used to worry a lot before but after attending meditation classes I mellow down a lot and no longer worry. I take one day at a time. We live for today and let the future take care of itself.

life is a mystery. and we are living in a competitive world. we have to compete in order to sustain our living. it might sound pointless but that's a fact of life. we are the writers of our own book of life. it's all up to us how we write our story of life to make it colorful. cheers! :)

In life, we get really depressed and frustrated. I've always think on that things you know, but when I do that, there is this urge in me to strive hard to become a better person and achieve the things that we want to have or dream. I dreamt of me being happy! And I will strive my best to understand and learn myself so that it will help me become happy. We have to pass this stages in our lives because if we don't, we will always feel like we are worthless people! ;)

Hi. I think everybody at one moment become worried about his/her life. But if you are thinking that is just a bad day and tomorrow will be a good day, you just forget what happens. When you are worried about your life, just remember that you have family, friends who can help you. You can think how can be your life without friends or family? I think yes but you become sad. So thanks for God that you have family and friends. Every time just remember that there is somebody who care's about your life.
