this has been a long hard struggle for me i have battled depression and being "overly sensative/emotional" for as long as i can remember. years ago i was on paxil before they recalled it and re-released it... and it made me violent so i flushed them.
now my depression is worstening and i have more bad days then good... i have finally broken down and called mental health about an appointment to look into medications.
any good stories or horror stories i should be aware of?

Hello friend, i was in depression and i left it in the past few days ago. My friends from here, who gave me great tips for how to fight that feeling, helped me a lot.
Now i feel alive again, but i know that soon may be i'll be in depression again, if my financial problems don't end soon. It looks like our problems won't go in the past, as my own depression, so i decided to take some medicine, but it will be herbal pill. We got here, if you have little high blood pressure, or if you feel hopeless, or if you are worried. That herbal pill i'm talking about is mint, hawthorn and valerian and you can take 2-4 pills every day. You don't need doctor recipe for it, it's free pill, because its effect is not strong.
Good luck.

I've got a buddy that took paxil and if he didn't take oh man look out. He's changed to all sorts of stuff over the years but i think wellbutrin is the one he finally just came to be the best for him. Weird right cause that one is such a low dose it's weird that that one would could control him finally. good luck.

I'm on the generic version of celexa right now. So far it seems to be helping a little bit but I've only been on it for a month. My friend was on it and she said it made her really sleepy. I'm sleepy during the day but I also don't sleep well at night so I'm not sure if it is from the pill or me not sleeping well. My friend took cymbalta then and she said that it worked the best for her.

Unfortunately there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to medication. What works for me might not necessarily work for you. That's why you have to have a doctor monitor what you're taking. But don't give up, I've been through at least five different medications until I started using Effexor XR which completely alleviated the symptoms of my depression. While you're still being regulated you might consider therapy as well, it does help. Talk to you doctor about it.
Kindest regards,
Dave
