negativity

what are some ways of battle negative engery?
i find that i try to counter it with postive but we all know this is easier said then done sometimes.
suggestions? please respectfully leave out praying as i am not a christian woman. i respect everyone's right in rgards to religion or culture but not my cup of tea . thanks

The power of pray can not be denied, even if your praying to your toilet...It works, quantum physics proves, and it doesn't matter which deity you pray to.
That said, the easiest way to win any fight is to deny your adversary the battle. The simplest way I find to do this with negativity, is to smile, laugh at my self for how ridiculous I look smiling when I feel like crap, and then remember the times I had a really good reason to smile. Works great for me, may or may not help you out too.

Hi. Try watching "the Secret" or reading the book of secret. It will help you understand things you don't understand. I accidental download wrong movie and when i watched it it help me further understand why there are certain things repeatedly happening. It was not actually a movie, it's a inputs from different persons in the society which tells you how and why you encounter this and that. I can't explain it well but i recommend you to watch it. It will change your perception in life. Everything will change after.

I try my hardest to just ignore the negativity. If it is unavoidable, or impossible to ignore, then I just remind myself that negativity can not harm me, and I do like you, and try to counter it with positiveness.

I think first thing is the accept the existence of negative feeling. Negative feeling is just like a form of energy, it comes and goes like wind in the nature. After accepting the fact that you are in a negative mood, you take some deep breaths and visualing the negative energy is coming out of body. And after you feel better, you can do some thing you truely enjoy to change your mood, for example, drawing, dancing, meditation and so on.

Well, when I am having a very negative day it helps to start out with something small that is easy to accomplish, but I don't really like doing, like doing the dishes. Then I can be proud of myself that I "buckled down" and did an annoying chore. Once I feel like I have accomplished something, I find I have a lot more motivation and positive momentum to keep getting things done throughout the day, whether it is a chore, or something fun for me that I might be too lazy or negative to do usually.
