Why people are afraid to die?

Depends on my mood at the time. Right now? No. But sometimes yes. The reason why people fear dying is a fear of the unknown. The fear of the unknown is the most common, almost universal fear there is. NO ONE, and I am talking about even the most faithful here, knows what is going to happen when they die, and that is scary. If it is just a black void, no consciousness, then we are promised the lack of ability to exert our will forever. No more choices, fun, joy, pride, struggle...life. life is good. It would suck to die. Do you think maybe that the life of a saint is a life of suffering and that is why it is so rewarding for saints to die? Maybe that is there heaven? No more selfless servitude? I don't mean to insult anybody here, I think that spirituality is a very important life tool. I wish I was more spiritual. My dad always said that you can't force faith on a yourself, you will only build doubt doing that. So for now, I just keep my mind and eyes open.

yes i am, though we all know that we all have our endings. I am afraid to die, because as of now my children are still young.... I worry for my family that i would left alive. I wasnt able to guard them anymore... I want to see my children grow, watch them succeed in life. , and for my man, i want to grow old with him, see our family grow too, until we have our grand children... thats why if i die now im really afraid, im not yet ready....
