What you usually do on toilet?

My husband has a stomach condition which causes him to have to spend a long time on the toilet when he goes...so we keep handheld games in our bathroom. I play them, too, if I'm going to be there for a while. He used to read the newspaper but, aside from the fact that I could never find it, the newspapers started to pile up in the bathroom and I didn't like that...so I bought the games.

lol. Such a funny post, Shibham.:) But, well, my husband or I am doing stuff in our toilet, too.I think we are too liberated or we can concentrate more when we are confined in that four little cornered part of our place. I think there, or sometimes i just vent out my frustrations there. Talk to myself, shout or cry like crazy in there. There are also thoughts and ideas I have clearly sorted out when I was in the toilet, thoughts that i'll never came to terms with if I am somewhere else. MY husband, makes the most of his time inside the toilet. Doing what? Well, you can guess.LOL

I only do my ' big job ' in the toilet and nothing else.However it is in the bathroom while having my bath that i get all my creative ideas and my inspiration.Many times when bathing if i think of someone,that person does turn up or calls me on the phone.Or if i can`t remember something then it usually strikes me when bathing.There is some connection between the water and the brain because when the cold water strikes the head it activates the brain and all the ideas come flooding in.

Haha! I read when I'm on the toilet. Sometimes I read for almost an hour. I forgot that I was at the toilet. Sometimes, I watch movies or episodes while doing my business. I also chat, text or talk to somebody on the phone.

I usually play psp or nds on the toilet, or read some stuffs. But sometimes, I play the guitar while sitting on the toilet! Bet you have never heard anyone do that before?

Well for me I always cries inside the bathroom. Lol. I mean when my boyfriend and I have a misunderstanding, I couldn't cry in our house because I don't want my family members see me crying so am going inside the bathroom and cry. I also always sing inside the bathroom while I'm taking a bath or else. I love to sing inside the bathroom because it feels like I have a quite good voice. Lol.

Hello Shibham, Your ideas are originating from there. I heard from many people as they are building home, getting well with their jobs, doing good business etc when they are in this safe place. Our thoughts are endless and all are lonely in that place so the thoughts will be doubled as there is no interruption, I think. Personally I don’t have any such habit and I don’t need much time there. More often I am disturbed with my kids and my elder one is at home, he will remember to ask something when I am ‘in’. His question may be ‘what are you doing” grrrrrrrrrrrr. I am standing upside down……… can’t you wait for some moments for me…is the sky is going to fall…….

Hi Shibham, Wow you are a writer - a novelist! I could not find an appropriate emoticon here... I always wanted to be one... Ok, for your query - Long back, during college days, I saw this on one of my friends toilets' wall - "You will not get rich sitting here" and I added this one below that line - "But you will certainly get the ideas to get richer". I know writing on anyone's wall is unethical but it was during our college days and it was funny at that time. We had just watched the hindi blockbuster - Maine Pyaar Kiya and the sticker was a copy from that movie so I did not hesitate writing my stuff below it. Personally, I must admit that most of my ideas come to me on the toilet - be it my programming needs or my writing needs or anything else. I am having ulcerative colitis and so use the toilet more frequently than anyone else I personally know and most of the times I find myself thinking when I am inside. I still remember that during school - class 10th final Board Exams, I would take my notes inside to get them by-heart. Cheers, theSids.

I usually just wait and savor the moment, my head painful to even think. i never do anything productive inside the bathroom until i get the perfect mood. the smell of my own excrement just bothers me too.

I usually read the newspaper when I am on the toilet but like you whenever I need to think and concentrate on a design or problem I also sometimes do it on the toilet. I guess it has to do with the toilet being quiet which allows me to concentrate more.

Ahahahha, you got a useful toilet there which can give you a lot of ideas. I don't really think about anything when I'm in the toilet except for the usual things that we do there. I don't even read the newspaper when I'm in there or think about anything else. The only thing I think about is to get over my business and get out of there as much as possible.

Lol. U can go to the toilet all the time and get lots of innovative ideas, hahaa.. But it's a great topic. I've never think that i could do anything else with the main purpose when going to toilet. Nice day ^.&

Hi, I do read news paper and also I take a book into toilet with me. what you said is true, we get real innovative ideas some may work some may not but sill they are useful it is just like a brain storming session. This is a funny question but true. Personally, when I go to the toilet and I'll be there for a while, I bring a psp with me or anything I could play games with me. Sometimes, I bring pen and paper and I would write down all my tasks for the day in an organized manner. And yeah it's true that you could really think for lot of things when you are in the toilet. It really is a thinking toilet. Hahaha.

LOL what a strange discussion but thats ok they are fun. I really dont have time to do anything while I'm on the toilet. It only takes me a few seconds to poop then I'm out of there. I know some people who are in the bathroom for like a half hour and its like oh my gosh what takes you so long.

I have mentioned in a discussion I started ages ago that on the toilet (as well as in the shower) is where I get alot of my ideas from...especially for mylot discussions & for articles that I sometimes write.

i used to cry in the toilet. i think that is the best place for me to cry because i don't have anyone who see me crying. it gives me some 'me time' to think what already happen too and prepare what i should do next

Hello friend, when i go to the toilet, i take the laptop with me and continue what i'm doing online. When i was teen, i always took books with me to read for my long staying in the toilet, for now i make everything there really fast and i have no time to think about something special But i have to make a schedule for my daily plans, and may be the toilet atmosphere will help me really much with my plans, because i love being with myself sometimes, thinking about important things.
