What Does Then Number Star Means At The Left Side Of Username?

I was curious about the colored star with a number found at the left side of the username. I'm interested to know. Was that a rank of your membership at Mylot? or Anything? What does the number means inside the star? How about the star color? I saw different colors on different usernames?
Was that a design to make usernames more evident? (lol) or depends on members age? (lol again!). Well, Your guess is as good as mine.
Let's see who can give an interesting answer.

The number inside the star shows how a user's activity is seen by others and its name is myLot reputation.
Maybe you saw the + and the - near each post here, in myLot. Those + and - are used to rate the posts. If you find the post interesting and useful 
, you rate it positive, if you think that it violates the rules or it harms the myLot comunity 
, you rate it negative. Those + and - a user received are counted and they give the user's reputation.
The color of the star doesn't have anything to do with the member's age.
Each reputation has a unique color - blue for 10, red for 9, yellow for 8 and so on. The higher the number inside the star, the better.

Hi,
That is your star rating and ranks, When yu cross 100posts it will be shown. If you are active in any particular interest you can see something like ranked as smaller number out of larger number.Keep working you can see them very soon.
I think I received after 3 days of joining.
