Work and life balance...how do we achieve this?

I have been pondering the past few weeks about the time I am spending with work and the time that I allot for myself for a little relaxation, and I just can't help but think that I am already overworked. I currently have two jobs, and most of the time, I feel tired and always sleep deprived. I am aware that it is hard to work two jobs at the same time, but I just do not know how to achieve work and life balance because I cannot afford to lose either of the jobs that I have. I even feel that sometimes 24 hours is not enough for 1 day. If you are in this situation, how would you manage your time when there are just a lot of things to do?

There was a time when i was so busy i listed all the things that had to be done. I didn't believe it'd work but it did. Keeping a checklist of the tasks i'm supposed to do made me aware of the time i have and made me use it more efficiently.

Yes, this works for a lot of people, so this is a really good idea! It does not work for me, to be honest, but I know a lot of other people who do this.

I think the key is finding a time management system that works for you. I don't think the same time management systems work for everybody, so really, spend some time on trying to find one that suits your life and makes sense to you. This can be done, even though it seems like something totally boring and useless, and it can really help you in the long run!

You are right, and I totally agree that not the same methods of time management work for everybody because we have different lifestyles and different jobs. I hope I find the best one that suits me. Thank you. :)

Everything we do needs to have some balance. this pertains equally to work and your life. We need to work to achieve our goals. we also need to take the time to enjoy life too. it all shouldn't be one sided. Balance can't be found in only doing one thing.

Thank you for your response! I am really thankful that I have the two jobs currently, but you will certainly reach a point where you feel like it is already taking a toll on you. Wish me luck as I find the solution to having a balanced work and life. :)

I am not holding two jobs but I think you should slow down because if you fall sick you will not be able to do either jobs. Why not stick to one and stay healthy physically and socially.

Thank you so much for your thoughts. You are right, I have already been sick trying to work two jobs at the same time...but as I have said, I cannot afford to lose both jobs...you know...there are a lot of bills to pay including the monthly dues and obligations. Anyway, I really appreciate your input and would try my best to manage my time, at least to have some rest and stay healthy. :-)
