You have chosen the way to live your life and that is your personal choice. But I am happy that the father of your children finally want to legalize the union and that makes it even better living as a loving family. I really can't remember how my husband proposed to me but we followed the local tradition of having the whole family coming to my parents to ask for my hand.

First of all, let me give you huge congratulations on your forthcoming marriage. I have been married 43 years, but can remember my wedding proposal. I was working in london and my boyfriend(then) used to come up every day from Kent,(about 20/25 miles) to pick me up from work. I worked in an area called Covent Garden which was quite near the Strand. There are lovely shops in the strand, its quite near the the river Thames and the hotel called the Ritz is just off it. So it was a lovely area to work plus there were some very expensive jewellers. I had been going out with my boyfriend about 10 days,,, yes really,,,10 whole days, but I knew he was the ONE. He rang me at work and said shall we go and get the ring then, Yep just like that, no romantic back ground, no getting down on one knee, no,,, my proposal over the phone, while i was at work . He was not a romantic man, he has evolved over the years and now even buys me flowers for no reason at all !! but that was my proposal, i got my ring, a lovely sapphire with diamonds, which incidentally bore a marked resemblance to Princess Dianas ring many years later. And we are still together now. Not always happy but still together. I wish you both lots of happiness.

hello Jazel! congratulations! that is so sweet of your bf, proposing as he did. Well, no matter what, what's really important is you're both happy together and that's it. Although, marriage meant a lot to us women, it's the love that really matters in the end. If i could be assured of a eternal and faithful love, i would bypass marriage for that, lol. i don't remember how my ex-hubby proposed to me anyway, like you, i am with someone, we're sort of being together and i have kids too. i'm not expecting him to propose to me but i'm happy with our situation now. we're happy and that's all that matters for now. well, hope to hear your wedding bells soon!

HI, Since your boyfriend proposed to you, then you must be very happy,at last you have your status as his wife, legal status. The most important is both of you have happy family and stay together forver. Oh...my husband proposal was not romantic at all. We just went out to choose the ring and once he got the ring, he passed it to me..that's it. No flower or candle light dinner. But I am happy with my life now, we are a happy family with one kid with us.

COngratulations Jazel, Maybe either he didn't have the time nor he had the money to spent it. but of course, at least he has guarantee now the YOU will say "YES" actually, i didn't know you two you were living in i though you two have tie the knot. well, this is good news indeed at least you're sure that he will stick to you in the end.
