It is not a post count because not all of your activity is included in it.
It increases when you:
- start a discussion and it receives 2 responses (or 1 response + 1 comment)
- respond for the first time on a discussion started by others
- comment for the first time on a response on a discussion started by others.
It decreases when your posts are deleted.
It is not related to your earnings. All your activity will earn (if it is within the Guidelines) regardless of whether it is included in that number or not.

That is the number of posts you have made to the discussions... Note that, u will be able to post one response for a discussion and it will be counted and one comment will also be counted and the next consecutive comments u make to the same discussion will not be counted .

Well, according to you this number can not exceed the number of posts you made. Right? But in my case I have answered to 54 discussions but this number is 67 for me. What may be the cause?

That is, the first comment you have posted to each discussion u have responded earlier.
It will be taken into account..
Remember, the Response u make first will be counted and the comment u make after posting your response will be counted...

Yes it is the total of discussions you have started and responsed to, but sometimes the count of this may go up or down because when any post of yours gets deleted due to violations of rules they forget to deduct a number from your that count. Happy mylotting. Regards, harry.
