I have worked for like less than 2 years..Recently I found that I'm so tired..
You know ,my work time is 8:00~17:00,Monday to Friday..BUt the fact is that so many work is waiting for you..and I have to work overtime everyday...For me,I can go home at 21:00 pm,and I have to go to work every Saturday, sometimes even Sunday...
And when I got home at night,it's so late that I can't do anything else..Then the life became so boring...The work took me so much time...
What about you? Do you always work overtime?and what do you think of ovetime work?

Start loving you job and you dont have to work again .. i follow this .. But its easy than said .. Just try to plan accordingly and work on the priority basis .. Time management can reduce the stress of overtime most of the time ..I lan the work and work the plan most of the time .. Failing to plan is planning to fail..:)

Hi dear,
I am in service for so many years. For the last 5 years, I don't have overtime facility. The company stopped paying for it. But we can work as many hours in the job overnight or till next day or whatever. It was the system that the company used to pay for the first 15 hrs. with normal rate and after wards with double rate. Some people made more than double to their actual salary and many are reported more hrs. and less hrs. of work in record. Once it got caught, all others who really worked got affected and company stopped it now.
Still about 85% above people used to work late as they need to complete their assignments and other works. However, I will not sit late if it is not really required but I may wait 1 hrs. more in office just to site with myLot!!!
Regards,
Thank-s

Almost everyday I work overtime atleast for one hour to complete my work. I dont like doing this but still the fear of work getting piled up for next day will bother me and I am forced to work overtime. Sometimes I enjoy it due to the satisfaction that I will not be burdened for the next day.

I haven't worked in several years but I have had some jobs where I had to work overtime. It's rough, too! For example, when I worked as a nuse's aide in two nursing homes, there were times when I had to pull doubles. I found out the hard way that if they ask you to work a double and you do so willingly, they'll take advantage of that.

Well, first thing first. Do you really need to do the overtime? Are you in dire need of money? If not, just do an occasional overtime stint. Rest and enjoy your week-ends. That is the least you can do to reward yourself, week after week.

i always work overtime^^ sadly my parents are working on a restaurant and im helping them. so everyday we work since morning till night. i feel like you that work takes a lot of time from people. we could be hanging around with friends and we cant. it would be great if people could live without work so much. anyway it would be good if you had saturdays and sundays to rest^^ you should. or else working every single day will be too tired :( did you think about go to other country to work? maybe in europe and in usa you have a better life^^

HI,
From what you mentioned above about your work,it is kinda tiring
as you need to overtime almost everyday.
If there is an overtime pay for it,then it is still fine.
Or else,it is unfair to you.
Do you ever ask yourself why there is so much work for you to do.
Try to negotiate with your boss on your job scope.
If your paid is not equivalent to what you have contribute, then it
is not worthy for you to stay to this job.
You can alwasy consider to look for other better job.
On my first job, I also did overtime at least few days every month.especially
during month end, whereby I need to close the account, That was my busiest day.
I have to stay back in the office till 8-9pm.
Rushing out the statement to be mail out to customers, chasing for
payments, make payment to suppliers,etc...
At last, I decided to quit and look for other better job.

yeah right! I was feeling that way a month ago. I was in the office for 18 hours a day mon-friday. However, it's not worthy because the salary is small. Now that I am not working there I am tired of searching a highest paid job. So it's still same tedious days I had before.loL!

Hi zhpshql, many people will do like that, they want to complete their work so they work for more hours. But my suggestion is to complete in the given time, rest also is much important alongwith work. If you take good rest then it is easy to work and concentrate on work more.
Have a good day.

hi zhpshql
maybe i cannnot feel you ,but i think it's similar to study,i should compel myself to go to review in the library in order to achieve the objects .so i do the same things day after day.it's so boring.i have dreamed of waking up naturally one day and doing the things at my pleasure.that's so contented.maybe like me ,you need to have a good sleep or rest now .what's more, no matter how busy you are,you should distract your attention from the work and do some things you like .

i hate overtime whether it's paid or unpaid. There's a reason why the regular hours is 8 hours only and that is solely because that's what the human body can take.It should also be only what's allowable. Excess hours causes burn out. I resigned from my previous work because i was unhappy with my schedule. Hope you can find a way to straighten things out.
