deathly hallows could have been made into a single film. do you think it was made into two parts just to extend it one film further?

I actually loved that they made it into two parts..yeah, so it would last longer. but the movie would be nicer because only a few parts will be cut..Maybe the whole book is in the movie already. And yes, the story is so long and complicated that it won't fit in one movie.

I think it could have been done in one epic film, a la the LOTR movies. Deathly Hallows Part 1 is a good movie, but not a great one--it REALLY drags in some spots (as did the book, in my opinion). If the producers decided it really needed to be in two parts, then they should have reordered some things, or broken it at a different spot. Too little happened in this one, leaving too much for the last installment. I was pleased, however, that they did an excellent job of following the book, which was not always the case with the other HP movies.

The story is so complicated that it just would not have been possible to do it justice in one film. I believe that the directors (and J.K.Rowling) were right to make it into two parts but, sadly, even so I cannot see it doing the book justice, any more than the last two films have really brought out the spirit of the books properly.

i think they made it into 2 films for the profit.. it is more profitable to extend the harry potter mania than to just end it now..

There are so many things that was tackled and revealed in the last book that cutting some bits and pieces and make the movie in a one-part will make the viewers (especially those who haven't read the book) confused. Some HP movies like the Prisoner of Azkaban should have been presented longer since personally, there are some parts that I wished it would've been included in the movie.

I believe that with a story so big like Harry Potter, it is only right to make it to 2 films. It is possible to compress it to one but a 5-hour one because if Warner Brothers truly aimed to have an adaptation truest to the book then they should have started making in twos in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but that would not be wise right? That's why Harry Potter movies are somewhat kind of a disappointment. This time I think they're trying to make up with the fans and it's the final installment, it should be the best, don't you think? :D
