How safe is our world?

Some places on the earth are safer than others it would seem. For example on world news the situation is safe in Norway but in Indonesia there might have been a volcano eruption. It might be safe in Italy but a hurricane might have hit the Mexican coast. In Japan an earthquake might occur. In Bangladesh there might be a flood. One of my friends lives in San Francisco. In 1989 he suffered a terrible earthquake. So he went on a relaxing vacation to get away from all the stress. Then a hurricane hit where he was vacationing in Fiji. I had a trip canceled due to an airline not going into Cancun due to a hurricane. I haven't ever been somewhere that experienced a hurricane but I have arrived recently after one ended. Therefore I could see the damage. I worry about terrorism happening. It is a shame humans have made things like pollution occur. Nobody can control natural disasters like volcano activity, fires, earthquakes and hurricanes sadly.
