Vomiting, most common among people from young to some elders while travelling. Reasons may be many like- before traveling u might have taken heavy food, oily food and some time the route or the bus pathway too matters like climbing a hill with too many slopes and U-Turns. And for some, traveling would not suit to their body and they automatically happen to vomit in jerked buses or long distance buses.
Now the scenario is, If you r traveling in a closed bus, Say in a Air conditioned bus, where the windows are sealed (Like one in Aircrafts). The bus is in a good speed on a freeway and cant be halted and u cant control your vomit anymore. There are no vomit bags (as like in Aeroplanes) in the bus too.
What would u do?
I know most would say 'No options other than to vomit under the seat of the bus'.
But any other ideas? Remember u dont have ur own polythene bags for such cases of emergencies too that day..!

i was on my way back home from school where i got a seriously bad headache and felt awful. About halfway from the journey, i could not resist and got down the bus. Here's the kicker
I got down the bus to throw up, but i don't know why, i did not throw up due to the fresh air or something. I waited for a another bus and grabbed a seat. Immediately mu guts gushed out vomit to my mouth guess what.... i SWALLOWED it. Well swallowing it might be disgusting, but think about it in my view that day. You have the option of swallowing or messing the bus with all those strangers staring at you.

I can't imagine that maybe I could vomit inside the bag that I am bringing. I have no choice even my things will be dirty. Maybe I could vomit on my face towel too. That is the reason why I am bringing the plastic bags.

That's a tough scenario. I will look around and ask for a plastic bag or if the bus is passing by an area where it could stop for a while, I will ask the driver to let me vomit outside the bus. It would be embarrassing and disgusting to vomit inside a confined area in like that.

Right no other options but to vomit under the seats because we cannot prevent the feelings it can go out our stomach and really vomit. Well for me if never to hold myself to vomit and the bus is in motion well i look for another plastic then there i can make it. But if no plastic then sorry for the discomfort and to all passengers i'll vomit. I told you no options. No idea comes out of my mind to tell what is the best thing. Better not to eat heavy when travelling.

No need to vomit under the seat dear, take out a polythene bag from somebody and go stand in the drivers cabin or sit there in a extra seat besides and near to entrance or behind driver and vomit there in the bag. Every problem will have a solution, if you don't have a bag and you tell your co passenger you are likely to vomit and could any body give a strong polythene bag they would sure help you, because they don't want to travel with vomiting smell in the bus.
I hope this is one of the possible solutions or else keep smelling lemon to control it.
Thanks for a thought process post

she did what is right but if it comes it comes, better to released it.
the mother just wipe the vomits with their towels.

In such a case I would carry some beetel nut or lemon when I am travelling. The smell of the lemon will stop vomitting and beetel nut also stops vomitting. We can always carry these two things because it does not require more baggage. It can be carried in your handbag too. Its very easy to carry

Unfortunately, I have thrown up on a bus before. I did my best to alert the driver, and get my seatmate out of the way (we were sharing a bench). Before I could actually get to my feet, though, I ended up throwing up on the back of the seat in front of me. In order to get everyone to the destination on time, we had to drive the rest of the way with the vomit on the seat and floor.

So far that hasn't happened to me as I don't have motion-sickness. I remembered that I once vomited in a train station before and luckily, one kind soul offered me tissue and that time I was quite small. But back to the topic, if I were to vomit in a closed bus, then there's no choice but to clean it up. Maybe if I have some plastic bags with me, I would take it out quickly and then do the business.

Hi rajiv,
In open window buses, women are generally advised to sit on the front seats because in most cases it's the women who feel sick sooner, for some reason i don't know. It's okay if it's an open window bus, bus if it's an A/C then there is a problem. I have traveled in a semi sleeper multi-axle A/C bus. They are quite comfortable and is so smooth, that no one would get sick soon. Anyways, in your case i don't have any options but to bend down to and vomit under the seat. Yuck. I don't ever want to be in that kind of situation. Anyways, such things happen if the route has a lot of turns. Sometimes when i feel sick traveling in a smaller vehicle, climbing a mountain, i just try to sleep closing my eyes and that works pretty well! If you start feeling sick, just try to sleep closing your eyes.

I will ask the others for help. I am sure someone on the bus will help to "donate" a bag for me. Then I can vomit into the bag.

Well, I don't know in other people's cases, but in my case if I need to vomit I can't control or hold it, and I will vomit in the very place I'm in that moment. I would feel very ashamed after that, being in a bus and that, because vomit has a really horrible smell, and even with air conditioning probably the rest of the passengers would feel sick because of the bad smell.
Fortunately when things like that happen the bus driver always finds a way to make a stop somewhere so people can go outside.

You're kidding me? No polybags or vomiting bags? I really don't like to travel long distances especially on an aircraft or through bus. It gets me claustrophobic and a light headed. But it never happened that I throw up. If ever it will happen to me, I think I will get some paper. I can't possibly throw up under a seat cause it will stink. ;)

I remember when I was on an overnight ferry ride and adjacent to my deck are 3 students eating extra large chips snacks. And i wonder why they are not sharing each others overly large snack bags and they secretly transfer most of it somewhere in there individual bags. I later found out that during the wavy voyage they use the snack bags to vomit and told me they are ashamed to do it in a ordinary polythene bags. So if it is obvious that you or your companion expecting a non savory experience grab a large snack bag before embarking.

I traveled on a bus in Sumatra and many of the passengers vomited. The route twisted and turned and made a lot of people throw up. Leaving Indonesia on a high speed ferry to Malaysia I felt sick. I couldn't get out to the deck. I just threw up and all my baggage was in the pile so I couldn't get any plastic bags out. Yuck. When I was a bit better a week later I went shopping and in a supermarket I felt sick so I asked for an empty box so I could throw up in it. They thought I wanted to sit on the box. Then I vomited.
