I won't criticize any religion at all. I believe a pure religion can really save millions of people from ignorant, and cruelties. They can teach them good from bad. But what if someone misuse any religious thought for their personal advantage, and hypnotize mass amount of people to manipulate them for evil act?
You might heard news day by day about those suicide bomber. It is personal act, and those people willing to sacrifice themselves to achieve a certain killing mission. I just don't understand someone can sacrifice themselves, even their lives, simply just intend to kill more and more people. What is that all about? Is their mind already poisoned, and lost the right direction of their God's preaching?

Religion is very big in my life. I agree with you as to how you can kill yourself as part of a religious group. It is very hard to understand. They ever train kids and women. I do feel that there are people in this world that use religion for their own personal satisfaction. God bless them that they may find the correct way

I do not bow to any religion, i tend to turn over to my moral when i find myself between a crossroad. People should not be taught that some "supernatural" force will punish them if they misbehave because the religion is contradictory to itself, this can push the individual into deeper doubt, instead people should be taught to socialize with their surrounding. Although i do believe religion was created with a good purpose, nowadays it is widely used for control of the masses.

On this one i agree with Terryt religion groups are so different from what God is.God is good, kind and loving and wants us to be the same.I can't imagine teaching litlle kids to kill others or themselves. There is nothing godly about that. They shouldn't called themselves religious people. That gives all religion a bad name.

It is true that religion teaches,"Love God, and Love your Neighbor as yourself," but it seems that religion teaches one thing and does another. Any student of history understands that many wars,( I venture to say, "most wars") have been started for religious reasons. Many Millions have been murdered in God's name in the last 500 years alone. Religion has a bad name, and an even worse reputation, and yet the Die-hard Believers cling to their Faith. May God Bless Them!

Those who adhere to the religion are not perpetrating these crime but only those are committing these crime who profess that they belong to some religion. They are doing so in the name of some religion or the other for their personal gain. It is not the religion, which has poisoned their mind, but it is the desire for self aggrandizement, which is making them commit such crimes. They are the ones who are bringing bad name to Christians, Muslims and so many others. Religion enlightens it does not make one blind.

Religion is man's attempt to reach God. As such, all religions have serious room for fault. All man's activities are flawed to some extent. God's attempt to reach man is what is known by some as spirituality, and as it is God's work it is therefore flawless. Everything done by God is perfect. Should a person seek to use religion for any other purpose than to reach God, then that attempt is poison. Many people who do this are very persuasive, and they poison many people. Some of these people learn the error of their ways, thanks to the grace of God, but many continue to perpetuate the error. At its core religion is good, but too many people twist the purpose of religion to make of it a poison. Most people want to use religion to find God, but many others use that very longing of theirs to use these people for their own profit. Personal accountability will be the turning point, come eternity. God will hold each individual accountable for each decision he made on Earth. Let us strive to truly follow God, and to allow God to give us the gift of discernment that we not be deceived.

I think the fundamental problem of a religion is the fact that it is man made. It is always bound by the rules and technicalities that people and cultures attach to it. And because of that there will always be indifference and conflict.
In my honest opinion, I believe that the only true religion that people should follow is not a religion per se, but rather a common spiritual concept.
No Gods are needed to be named, no books are needed to be read or written. No ceremonies and sacraments are to be established.
What matters is that everyone shares something spiritually good and meaningful to each other. Things that will help everyone grow and be good people.

You can be moral and good without religion. You don't need a deity or anything supernatural to tell you what's good. Anything that makes you feel good would be good by you. Everyone has their own morals. Many people happen to agree on many things that is moral or immoral.

What a person believes is often what a person becomes. People who value beliefs over facts are vunerable to the dangers of others. It's not only religion. Con men everyday get people to believe most everything to get their money. The crime of religion is that because of religion we have all been taught to value beliefs over all else. If I were you, I WOULDN'T DO THAT!! God doesn't want anyone to believe. God wants us to discover the truth. The problem is that it takes work to discover the truth. It's much easier just to believe. Like I said. I WOULDN'T DO THAT!!!!

All religion should teach the people to the right track and to the same direction.
In fact, the religion is just our moral class.
To differentiate the good religion and the bad religion, the government should strengthen their observation and enforcement, to ensure the teaching is right and good.
To the people, education is very important so that they can be more mature and independently to differentiate the good and the bad, the white and the black.
As such, they will not be easily influence by the certain group of people to do the silly things.
May us pray for a safe and harmony society.

all true religions teach...''love god and love your neighbor''. it does not say love the neighbor who looks like you or worships like you or thinks like you. but love all neighbors everywhere in the world. and any religous teacher who manipulates it's followers into hating and killing people of different religions does not really know god. afer all, god is LOVE.
