The best work of fiction I ever read is The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. These cannot be considered separately, and so I list them as one. I say this is the best because of the way in which Tolkien uses fantasy to illustrate the real-life struggle between good and evil that has existed, and will exist, throughout history. The best non-fiction would be the Protestant Holy Bible, especially the King James Version. This version is hands down the best because of its beautiful language and its eternal message of love.

Oh yes, the King James Version of 1611 is one of the best versions of the bible, that's the version I read most of the time and is also the official version my church whenever there are issues regarding interpretation. Yes the flow of the old English language is excellent.

The best book ive read is Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. It is very mature, but kids can still read it.It is a fiction book but still realistic. It shines a new light on dying(positive). The things Zevin writes are remarkable. It might not sound good but it is great.

i enjoyed the following: Lord of the Flies, Lord of the Rings, Mayor of Casterbridge, Sun Also Rises, and books like that. i am drawn to adventures, even though fiction. also, psychological novels are fun, like Flowers in the Attic and the books that are with it. i thought that Mommie Dearest was like a nonfiction version of Flowers of the Attic. I never promises you a rose garden was interesting to read as well.

Five years ago I read a book called Merlin's Kin by Everett Coles a sort of YA fantasy about 5 teenagers answering a call for help from their ancestor Merlin and I loved it. Since then I have found that the same authors write S/F : The Faces of Immortality and To Rule the Universe and other stories under the names Jack Everett & David Coles I have read 4 now and they are all good or brilliant:The Last Free Men, Last Mission, The Abbot & the Acolyte and 1/1:Jihad-Britain and I have pre-ordered The Tourist from Virtual Tales. I think Amazon sell them all but I got mine from Archimedes Presse. The S/F books are ebooks and the others are paperbacks but Merlin's Kin is both.

1. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
2. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery
3. Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
4. The Crooked Banister by Nancy Drew
5. 7 Habits of Higly Effective People

One of the best books I've read is "Peter's Principle" written by Dr.Peter, it's a business book, one thing nice with it is once you read it, the theory and principle stays with you and is always applicable wherever you are or whatever you do. I read it when I was young and up to now I cant still see the same principle wherever I go.

Oh no! You want me to CHOOSE? I can't pick! I love so many books!
I'm a big huge fan of high fantasy (fantasy that takes place almost entirely in its own made-up world) and some of my favorite classics in that genre are Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, and the Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. Last Unicorn is one of my most treasured books because I adore the story and because I'm also a big fan of unicorns. I've been obsessed with unicorns since I was two, and it's pretty much all the fault of this book. I saw the animated film "The Last Unicorn" and it all went downhill from there.
Some of my other favorite books are the Legend of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock, The Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker, The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge, The Unicorn Chronicles by Bruce Coville, and the Oracles of Fire by Bryan Davis.

Oh, I can't just choose one! I have read too many great books over the years, it would be impossible to just name one, it would not be fair!

When ask about book recommendation, the first thing that pops into my head is the Harry Potter series. It's a package of adventure, love, friendship, humor and magic. It might be a fantasy genre but its contents are similar to what everyday people experience. If you want to get lost and escape the harshness of the world, Harry Potter is the place to be.
I also love:
1. The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
2. The Giver by Lois Lowry
3. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
4. Tell Me Your Dreams by Sidney Sheldon
5. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
