Reading newspaper is really a must for me everyday. There were times when the newspaper sold out and I felt restless. It is not the same when I read the online newspaper. The feeling and the mood are not the same. The real newspaper is something that I can touch , flip, fold etc. Purposely I sometimes buy at least two different newspaper because I just want to compare the way they write the news.

I used to subscribe on two newspapers. I love reading very much. Though I also want to write some articles there. I got some money through my habit. I also get much useful information from newspaper. That's double benefit for me. But now, seems that I got no time to read a single article on newspaper!

yeah, I was the same as you few years before. I used to read my news paper on bed with bed coffee. But now I am reading it online. I agree that the feel of news paper misses when we read it online it is just like any other website we go through.
But for me It is saving lots of time, now I am finding at least an hour extra before going to work. I used to spend at least 30 minutes reading the news paper early in the morning every day.
Cheers,

Looks like you're very inclined to actual newspapers. And yeah definitely the felling of grasping a newspaper in the hand and readin it gives a sense of being more "complete". And I really hate biased newspapers. Like one in my country. It's good that you try to compare the newspapers, it can be more informative and can tell both sides of the story

I am still in a dispute with myself on the subject; do I really need to read the newspapers and know what is happening around the world? I do not know whether it is good that I am always reminded about swine flu and using it as a topic to chat with others. The newspaper won’t have any major cause on me. As a matter of fact, I have not read any papers for a week now and I do not really miss it. Instead, I establish new free time that I can use to work on things that truly matters.

I too am like you where as I need to read it daily and yes something about holding it my hands gives me a sense of realness. I can't truly sit back and enjoy the news online and or cuddle in my couch while I read it also.
It truly is not the same and hope that someday they do not get rid of it in total.

I think its important to read newspaper everyday. It keeps you updated and knowledgeable about your surroundings. It gives you a sense of security too for you to know how to act on your country, What's wrong , what's not and what's in trend. However, I was born late 80's so newspaper are getting a little underrated. I was born focused on television and radio as a main media. I only see old people reading news when i was a kid so I never developed the habit of reading them and instead i read novels which was suitable for my age ( my own perception). I already had too many source of updates back then that i didn't bother reading the daily newspaper. I'm a young adult now and i can just see how newspapers are being trashed by the internet. How the traditional recycled paper and small fonts are replaced by Ipads,Tablets and cellphones where you can even zoom the page. Still, Its nice to know that the whole invention is still preferred mostly by elderly and other age group. At least they save the worldwide invention developed centuries ago.
