ok this is my bird and one of my husbands bestfriends. he was joking around thinking it would be a funny pic. i put it on facebook and got laughs he put it on tagged and got yelled at by a bunch of people. it was all in fun and of course my baby bird didnt get hurt. i would never let anything happen to her. what are your thoughts.

I do not have such feelings for animals but i still get disgusted when i see the picture of a human baby in a microwave. I know it is just a joke but i cant help but have a sick feeling in my stomach. But i dun make a fuss and hope that it is just a joke!

it is a joke. you know thanksgiving turkey etc. trust me she is fine. she is eating corn on the cob now and making a huge mess while eating. she is spoiled rotten. we even have her vanilla ice cream in the freezer cause she only likes vanilla and we like other flavors. she gets her own plate at the dinner table every night. she is like a child to us. in fact she gets jellous of our kids when we hug on them and we have to give her hugs to get her to stop yelling momma.

true i thought it was funny cause of thanksgiving i mean most eat turkey which is a bird etc etc lol.

Some people can be so over sensitive about things. I mean it's pretty obvious it's a joke. I think some people just need to throw a fit about something. It is a pretty funny picture.

thank you. she eats everything we eat. at dinner she has a small plate that we fill with what ever we are having for dinner and she eats like she is a little kid or something so we have been teasing that we were fatting her up for thanksgiving then hubbys friend got the idea to take the pic thinking it would be funny. trust me she is fine and sitting on her perch eating more corn on the cob lol.

She actually eats corn on the cob? She sounds like she is quite the little beggar. We have 3 cats at home. The only female, solid black, will eat almost anything we let her have. Sometimes I call her "MEXICAT" because she will eat refried beans. She also begs when I open a can of "Corned Beef Hash" because she wants her share. She also eats chili. She has a personality all her own. And a diet, too.

It looks like harmless fun to me. I can't imagine anyone taking a picture like that and being serious. Some people aren't going to find it funny and they'll probably think it's offensive... but you're going to find sensitive people like that pretty much whatever you do. If the bird's fine and you love the bird, then that's all that matters.

roxie is like another child to us. she has her own tub of ice cream in the frig cause she only likes vanilla. she eats with us every night has her own plate at the table. trust me she rules the house and is fine.

Maybe the bad comments came from an ultra right purist wing of the animal welfare and anti cruelty to animals groups who can no longer distinguish anymore a harmless joke from the real thing LOL, just kidding
