My sister finally purchased a christmas tree ! She bought it right after thanksgiving because I urged her to lol. She doesn't mind paying for it anyway since she buys it every year. I don't think it's too early for a christmas tree because after thanksgiving is the best time since I have gifts to put under the tree. Seems like the atmosphere and the environment is more joyful and lively having a christmas tree in the house. Especially having a real pine tree! The aroma of the christmas tree makes it more feel christmasy :). Thank god for christmas!

yeah, I remember the aroma. But it is such a mess with the falling needles. N ot to mention goin g out in the cold. But I also remember the fun of looking around finding best one. Sometimes we would get a really nice one, other times mediocre. I don't remember getting an ugly one or bad one. But that was over 40 years ago. Now I have my own house and we bought an artificial one. And once the lights and ornaments are on it, it doesn't really look that different from a real one. You don't have to worry about watering it. But the one we havce is a pain because you have to put each branch on individually. I wish we had one that just had three parts.

Well, I guess we will never have one. Your discussion prompted me to ask my girlfriend when she was younger, did they get real Christmas trees. She said yes. And at the end of the year, everyone would put it to the curb for the garbage man to pick up. One year some stupid kids went down the street setting all the trees on fire. Her mom saw how quickly those things went up in flames, and that was the end of real trees.

Wow, that's the first time I've heard about something like that happen. That's terrible. My street is one of the main streets and many cops always pass around so I doubt it will happen around here. Good thing we don't have kids like that doing things like that in my neighborhood.

Hi!
Hehehhe, that's cute! But yeah it is a pain and a hassle having to clean the falling needles all the time. I kinda want to go to a christmas farm just to see how it's like to actually pick a tree and cut one down. We usually just go to a store and pick the one we want then they help us put the tree in the car. I remember last year we got a discount because my hubby is in the military. I'm not sure about this year because I wasn't there with him lol. Hope you have a merry christmas!

I miss having a real pine tree. We always had a real tree growing up. The first few years after I moved out we had a real tree also. Then one year we had a heck of a time getting the tree out afterward so we decided to take a break with the real trees for awhile. We bought this tall tree and when we got it it was frozen with the branches up. we didn't think anything of it till it thawed out and it was huge! We had to cut it apart to get it out the door lol. We ended up finding a pre-lit tree at walmart for $10 on clearance after Christmas. So that is what we have been using the last few years. I'm thinking maybe next year we'll get a real tree again so the kids can experience it.

Hello,
Aww, I think the fake trees are okay but they do not compare to the real pine tree :). We got a really tall tree because my sister wanted a really huge one which costs around $40-50 bucks. They had some in the store like home depot about $19.99 but they were smaller ones. It's exciting decorating the tree with the family.

I bought a Christmas tree a couple of months ago because I found an artificial one going for £2.50 on special promotion. I have not yet put it up because I don't really think about Christmas until at least December and I have yet to buy decorations for it and a tree with no decorations just looks lonely.
