Social networking site :Orkut is dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen in the past few months none of my friends are active in ORKUT...FACebook has taken over atleast in our friend circle... Whats your views????

Hi... I have my account on orkut and facebook. But i seldom open it. Actually i am fond of mylot and have a great friend circle which i enjoy a lot. As i have very less friends on those sites.... i am not interested too much. Take care.

Oh you must have had lot of friends whom you meet regularly .. so you dont find the need of social networking sites? is it ..Mylot is really cool to have unknown friends lol..

For me Orkut had never been active . It had been friendster or facebook all along until nowadays facebook took over the market almost tottally.

Yeah I agree ..Facebook was global always but Orkut dominated a few countries initially ..Now its all Facebook time ..

yes it it true orkut is no longer used by my friends also they are found most of the times on facebook ,face book have taken over orkut ,face book provide great functionality than orkut.

Maybe Facebook may have killed Orkut , but still I love Orkut and hate Facebook . My communities in Orkut are everything I have and I can never get any such thing in Facebook . So when all people love Facebook , for a change I will stick with Orkut itself .

hello barga :) I am happy to found some Orkuttians here that is still active though i don't own my own community there i am happy coz i am modertor of 3 communities. Besides Orkut created by the person who is searching for his lost loved one :) have a nice day!

Orkut seems to be never a real functional and busy Site compared to Face book or Twitter. But I guess it Depends on Where You Live and What Your Interest is. I find Lots of Members from India and Brazil not to many from the USA. My Country. Orkut was Busier 6 Months to a Year ago. When I First Joined. Still a Good Site to be a Member of and maybe Promote a few Things.

Yes, Facebook has taken over a large amount of social networking website, not only orkut. People spend a lot of time on facebook, and as everyone is joining facebook there's no need for these friends to use two social networks at the same time.

How about trying MyPage5? It is similar to facebook but pays cash by registering with photos ($5.00), uploading pictures (.01cents/picture), uploading videos, inviting friends, commenting and status updates. The same thing we are doing with facebook and it also have online games. For an ex-facebook fan like me, i think im just wasting my time with facebook...
