Yes, i want to learn how to cook.
Guys, what do you think about it? Wanna impress your girlfriends???
Ladies, isn't it adorable ??
I always say to my girlfriend, that i would always accompany her for cooking in the kitchen. And she says, i might, for the first few days and then get relaxed and she would eventually be cooking alone, while i would be demanding our meal watching TV. I placed a bet, for being there in the kitchen with her, when i would be at home. I am going to fight for my bet.
Comments of any sort, all invited.
And now... I am off to lend a hand to my friends for cooking MEAT!
Get back 2ya soon. :)

Why suddenly you got this interest??
Getting ready for your marriage?
I know nothing about cooking. But I am expert in preparing Maggie noodles, Boiled eggs, Hot water, Coffee, Tea, Boost,Horlicks, Bournvita, Milo, Complan, etc.,
If you are interested to learn any of these, send me a message. I will teach you how.
Have a nice time!

raghul, only two items, boiled eggs and preparing instant noodles mentioned above could be considered as cooking. There rest are preparing or making different beverages. Don't joke with voldrox, or her gf would beef about you doing so... Might be the link would do some help for him

Voldi won't it be safer if you stayed out of the kitchen?
You don't have to impress your girlfriend to cook you know.
I am sure she will still love you no matter what you try to cook.
Just make sure the meat isn't raw or something though.
Luck on the cooking lessons, though.
TATA.

Saphrina, wonder why my girlfriend says me to keep away from kitchen too. Says i would set the house on fire.
No ravi, I want to learn it myself, at least a little bit. So that i can help myself at times and also when she would be needing it. Me stay at home ? Interesting thought ! I am not efficient for being a stay at home dad,.. I wonder....

Hi voldrox, as a woman we would pleasant if our loved one is always by our side wherever we are. Therefore I would be very happy my husband could help me in the kitchen. It's doesn't matter weather he is a good cook as long as he could do a some help in passing this and that when I'm busy in front of the stove. he is really wanted after finishing all the cooking to help in cleaning and tidying the kitchen with lots of used stuffs. Of course your gf would be very happy if you could please her serving with your adept dish which is her favorite. So keep it up voldrox until you hit the goal in the kitchen
Happy posting!

Hi voldrox, I always feel happy to read comment left in my response box. It doesn't matter it's an instant one or belated one, as long friends are more than willing to share with me their feeling and idea. We are here having fun to write during our leisure and there isn't any restricted time for us to respond or to comment. Quite relaxing and comfortable to have fun here right?!
It's really wonderful to have sweet and light music as background while busy in the kitchen. might be the music airing doesn't make any significance at all when your sweetie and you are intoxicated in the intimating atmosphere. Seems that it's sweet and fascinating indeed to have loved and intimate one to work together in the kitchen. Every word and act our loved shown make the cooking more funny and joyous. Love is really fantastic!
It's true that a man should learn to cook well. So that to reduce the burden of his lover to prepare meal. Further more he could serve her with delicious food which suits her appetite whenever she feels unwell or tired. My husband would do this when I come across such undesired situation
Take care and wishing you two forever in love. Cheers....

Hello ikbooi, :)
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, it would to accompany my girlfriend in the kitchen. How about installing a stereo for us to listen to some songs while cooking together? I want to accompany her wherever i can. Plus, after coming home from work, we would only get a couple of hours of staying together before retiring to the bed, so why not make the best of time and be there beside her and help her cooking in any way i can. If i don't learn to cook, at least i would want to follow her orders and make her my boss in the kitchen, hehe. Sometimes when we talk and i ask her about the kitchen and cooking together, she warns me playfully to stay away from destroying our meal. I find that cute and funny. I am sure we would have fun cooking together in the kitchen. I want to learn to cook something so that i would be able to make food for my girlfriend when she would be sick. I would be so happy to be so much help to her, while she would be resting on bed. I can also boast about myself then, haha.

Hi Alok.. It will be nice if you help her in cooking.. if you dont know how to cook also no problem you can learn as and when the days pass.. but just try to help her by cutting veg or other small things so that she will feel happy.. and this makes you both more confident in your relationship.. My husband helps me in cooking whenever he is in home.. I feel very happy to cook when he accompanies me in cooking..

Hi. voldrox. Yes, it is adorable when a man wants to cook for his girlfriend. I think that is very sweet. My husband works a lot and he still finds time to cook every now and then. He baked some corn bread yesterday for Sunday's dinner. It was so yummy! He normally does this when I cook a big meal for dinner. And he also put the macaroni in the bowl for me too. I did the last one. I think that it is very sweet and polite of you to want to cook for your girlfriend. Enjoy cooking!

Hello cream,
Sorry for the late reply. Thank you so much. Yes, it is going to be helpful at times too when she might be busy with some important work or down with illness. That is so nice of your husband. Couples can also have a good time together in the kitchen cooking food together, that is how i see it.

Man, I think that is sweet! You would surprise your girlfriend if you do know how. Better yet, you would not let her know at the moment and learning behind her back. You can ask assistance from a friend or your mom, its always best that every guy could at least cook something. Great chefs started somewhere as well, so don't get too freaky when you misses or messes up, lol. Just keep on trying and trying until you know how to perfect a meal.
From here, I would congratulate you in advance!

Being a man, exerting effort into something just to please your girl is really such a sweet gesture. Especially in cooking, for it is believed by most men that kitchen is a woman's place. She would be very proud of you and having you as her special man as well.

Thank you SimpleBB.
Yes, i have thought quite much about it. I would feel weird if i am sitting, watching television while she is alone in the kitchen making dinner for us. Unless i am too tired i would want to help her in the kitchen. Besides it's not only me who would be working, she would be too. So i think it should balance it. Whatever the reason be, i want to learn to cook for myself and she. I would be so happy to be able to help her out with making food for us when she be down with illness.
@Sunnycool: Besides ? You mean besides teasing her and disturbing her when she is cooking?

Hello sunny. That is nice. You can cook meat?? That is good, i would like to make it as well. Nice to know you want to explore new boundaries, like me. Well, of course, when we do something like that, we need to take care. If something goes wrong, our girlfriends would smack us!
You probably put onions! That is why the vampires didn't like it!

You should learn to cook, and impress your girlfriend a bit. I would like to cook too, only take a few hours per day to learn the best cooking experience you have. Follow step by step from the cook book. That ain't bad at all. It should be a fun experience for you all, don't you think?

Hi kingparker,
Thanks for responding to one of my older discussions. Yes, some cooking books are simple to follow and i think i should get hands of a couple of them for the best tips. It's actually quite an important thing to know how to cook, you don't know when you would be in the need to cook for yourself.

Hello ngoctruoung,
Thanks for the link. I would refer to that. Yes, one should naturally start learning with cooking easier stuffs. I can only make tea a few egg stuffs, i haven't even tried boiling rice, lol. Anyways, i am aware it should not get too soft. When mom makes rice, i would sometimes take a grain out to see how hard or soft it is, and then switch the stove off.

you are saying ..fight for my bet...that means that you were not mentally prepared and you said just like that....any work done under pressure is boring and if u really enjoy doing it then it will be a pleasure for you...being their for help is good ...but only when you are really helpful...i have experienced that if good for nothing people are revolving round me in kitchen ...that is just a big headache...that disturbs me and reduces my speed....so better prepare yourself to be beaten by spoons and belan if u don't know anything ...jus kidding...if her kitchen is too big...you can sit at the dining table and talk sweetly with her...instead of helping...that will also please her ...its just my guess..after all people differ by nature ...good luck to u !!!

Hello eshaan, :)
Sorry for the late reply. Spoons and belan ..! Omg he he he
When we talk about kitchen now, she says and warns me in a playful and sweet manner that i would jeopardize our dishes. And also tells me not to lurk anywhere near her while she is cooking, and if anything goes wrong she would experiment the food by making me taste, you see she says sometimes she puts in excess on mirchi and if something like that happens because of me bugging in the kitchen she would make me taste if first. I say okay, go ahead but i am not going to leave her alone in the kitchen. Oh boy i will bug her so much. My girlfriend loves to talk sweetly with me. I would at least like to accompany her in the kitchen whether i know to cook or not. I want to be able to cook basic food at least, so that i can help her when she is sick. I would be so happy to do that. She is so sweet that ants will attack her in the kitchen, i should tell that. :D

Not only is it sweet for a man to cook, but the very fact that he is willing to work against societal norms and learn a skill normally put aside for women is admirable. My husband does the majority of the cooking in the household (meaning he will cook ALL of Thanksgiving dinner, he cooks every night for dinner, and if it is a very rare day I may bake something or microwave something). It's something he enjoys doing and something I enjoy as well, but since we eat all day long (several small meals instead of the normal Western-style three meals) I get very impatient and can't keep my mind on it if I'm hungry.
For us, our roles are switched. He cooks, does dishes, and I take care of finances and any legalities of the marriage. For others, a man who knows how to cook is a rare sight. Keep up with it. Just like a woman who knows how to keep house but not how to think for herself is a sad sight, so is a man who can't cook when he needs to.

Hello LovingLife,
Wow, that is awesome. I appreciate your husband. You are lucky.
I want to learn cooking for myself and for her too. Not only will this be a cute companionship in the kitchen, it would be so nice to help make her food when she would need me to. Although it may take me sometime to learn how to cook a wide variety of things, it's still worth learning, coz i would be happy making us some good food. I would feel proud of myself too. Anyways, i should not take this thing lightly. he he.

i think its great that there are some men out there that actually wants to cook or learn to cook. i would love to have a boyfriend that would cook me a meal sometimes, i have never had that. i love to cook and bake for me and my kids amnd love cooking from scratch, that way you know exactly what has gone in your meal and you can always play around with recipes and experiment. its a big satisfaction knowing you have cooked a great meal. i think it would be great to see couples cooking together, to me it would be more passionate.

Good for you. You might need to use the knowledge later when you have children or when she is in confinement. Know how to cook some simple but favorites of the home.
You both will make a good couple but more points for you for being nice to do something nice for your girlfriend.
