lost money in paypal

i have a friend who lost more than 500 dollars in his paypal account. he told me he is a member of one site and he upgrade but the next day, all his money in his paypal account were gone. have you experience this kind of scenario?

No nothing like that had happened tome.I have heard such kind of incidents but had not not felt.Can you tell the name of that so that everyone would be aware of it.??

It is not the fault of paypal. It is the fault of the invester. Many HYIP sites disappear collecting money from the members. Those who are having experience about investing sites will agree this, no doubt.

@josechukkiri: you are right. it is not the fault of paypal. it is his fault. that is why we have to be very careful when purchasing online.

I guess there's nothing wrong if your friend lost the money in Forex investing or trading. It happens, especially if you are trading on margins, you can lose money more than what you have initially put into a trade if you are trading on margins. That's why it is very important you know how the game works before you play any game.

Hi markleob: I thank God I have never experienced something like this before but I know this can happended. It's obvious that the admin of this site has took somehow the funds of your friend account. That was a scam and what's worst is that it was a big amount of money. Maybe your friend could contact paypal's support in order to have his money back. ALVARO

yes, you are right. the admin really is responsible for the loss. hope that wont happen to me. we should be extra careful when we purchase online.

i also have balance in my paypal but it is just a small amount. whenever my paypal balance is a bit bigger, i withdraw it right away.

I think the site he/she joins was a scam site or theft. Once you signed up successfully on the middle of the hackers start their work.

This may happen. Once a forex trader inform me that they can support paypal but I have to give a undertaking for using paypal with them and my money will be taken if I make loss in trading. I forgot the name as it was about two years has passed and never responded to them.

What I have noted in using Paypal is that if I buy something, any money I have in my account is automatically used to pay for it before I state how I want to pay for the item. That is irritating since I would prefer to save the cash in PayPal for a rainy day. But other than that, I've had no problems with the site.

why your friend didn't try to complain on paypal, I ever heard that if its not your transaction you can reverse it.

I havent experienced any thing like that till now. I dont have much money in the pay pal too. So even if it is lost it wont be much. May be your friend lost his money for upgrading. That site may require 500$ for upgradation. I dont think it is the fault of mylot

yeah, i guess his account was hacked by the site he has joined and all his balance was transferred. so sad. we really have to be careful to every transaction we made online.
