I don't know if they have black Friday where you come from but it is the day after Thanksgiving. People stand in these long lines to save a few bucks. Some people take it to excess though. I seen this one woman that was standing since last Tuesday to save a few bucks on something I don't know what. But that is a little long to stand somewhere for a special that won't be on sale till Friday morning at 6am! Never been on one of these black Fridays stay out of ways of crowds. So did you get out in that crowed on Black Friday? Did you wait in one of those long lines on Black Friday? Do you know what I mean by black Friday? Do you have black Friday in your country?

We went out last year, but this year we stayed home. My husband had to stay over (he works third shift) to help with the customers where he works. People can be dangerous and crazy on black fridays. Luckily we have black friday sales online, and I think more people participate in those, and hope more people continue to stay home and shop online instead.

Hi SomeCowgirl. It can be dangerous to be out on black Fridays. I haven't seen the online black Fridays but have heard about them from the news. Hope your husband made it through black Friday okay. I have never been out on this day I don't like how crazy some people can get on that day....LOL

Yes, I believe amazon has a new deal every hour on Black Friday. It's nice to be able to shop online, we didn't do that either, having already gotten part of our shopping done anyway.
He got through it okay, he just had to stay for an extra little while.

Hi Cowgirl. Happy to hear your husband made it through black Friday okay. I would rather shop online then I don't have to wait in line. Those big sale days isn't good in public people go a little nuts, not to mention you have to be real cautious with your purse and wallet. Thieves are in abundance on those days.
Hi Aodoerfer and welcome to my lot. I haven't shoped on Amazon yet do they really have good deals. I think I have Dark Knight. I don't buy video games much anymore since I have a few that I like to play already. Again welcome!

Never before and this year..only hit Target which was nearly empty at 7am. HOWEVER...now on Sunday...it turns out...I have to return everything I bought for my grand daughters as they either have it already, don't need another one or didn't fit! Up early and catching the sales did me no good!!!Tomorrow I return it all! Good grief...what's wrong with this picture!!!!!

Hi Coffeebreak. So sorry you got up and did all this shopping and have to return it now. Yes I have heard these people that get up and stand in line all that time they get in and get out. They have what they want and that is all they usually go for. I can't see anything that man made is that important enough to get up and stand in line for hours/days. If I need it bad enough I will pay the regular price for it if I have the money rather then stand in line with a bunch of people that could careless about anyone/anything else . Good luck on your returning your sale items. When I worked in retail they usually didn't like taking back sale items. Have a great day my friend!

Yes, I did go. I went to Sears. and Menards, and Lowes. The lines were not long at Sears, and Menards I got there as everyone was going in. It is crazy, but my husband wanted a few things and wanted to go.

We didn't get out for the Black Friday deals this year. We did last year about mid-morning. We went to Kmart and JC Penney. We didn't stand in line. I don't think we've ever stood in line for the Black Friday deals except to check out after we've gotten our items. Overall we don't usually get out for the Black Friday deals. I do alot of Christmas shopping online. Selection is better and I can compare prices all from the comfort of home! I'm also finding alot of the deals online are just as good as the store deals. I heard them talking about that on the Today show yesterday too.

Hi Melanie. I have never gone out for the black Friday sales. I am like you would rather find the sales from the comfort of our own home. Can't believe what some people are willing to go through to get those deals. Nothing is that important to me to buy. Good luck on finding great deals online. I use price watch dot com I have found many great deals on that site.

I did not go shopping on Black Friday, it was my one day off work that week and since I work in retail, I don't really feel like shopping on my day off. I did look online at TVs to see if their were any great deals since that is the gift I am getting my boyfriend for Xmas.
While some stores do have good Black Friday offers, a lot just have offers that happen to include Black Friday. The store I work at have promotions on for one week each month and Black Friday just happened to fall in that week.

You won't find me standing in one of these long shopper's lines on black friday. It is just as amusing to read about in the newspaper to see if your really missed anything.

Hi Sender. You won't catch me standing in line for anything nothing is that important to catch on sale. If I want it I will pay what ever it cost and be happy that God gave me the money to get what ever it is. It is amusing to see these people standing in line for hours before a store opens to get something that the store probably didn't even order enough in the first place. But that was really ridiculous to stand in line for days to get something. There was a lady that stood in front of this store from Tuesday till Friday....LOL I can't see anything that is that important to buy.
