Is it possible for "religion" to make my reputation go down the drain? Because there was one time I visited the religion discussions and participated. I didn't fought with anybody of course but there were so many people fighting with each other...although my answers were like neutral and said it was on my opinion is it possible that would be the reason why I'm going down? My rating was like 5 then it went to 3 ...I dont know why....please help me :(

My reputation was dropped from 8 to 7. Now it return to 8 again.
Until now, I have not reached my minimum payout yet. I am not so sure if the reputation grade will affect our earning or not.
About what you have described in your discussion, I just hope that you won't be so sensitive to your reputation grading by simply guessing the system.
Just to be honest and loyal to yourselves in whatever you are doing.

Don't worry too much about the reputation. Some people are not just smart to understand what a discussion is and try to judge the person according to what they believe in and not understanding what the person is trying to say.
Ignore it! It's not worth it and besides you are still earning here despite the reduction in your reputation. STay cool and calm all the time. Having a good reputation before the eyes of the LOrd is much better! Cheers!

Yeah your right:). It is way better for God to see us on a higher rep than on people :D Thanks, I learned something today =)

I have expressed my opinion in some of the religious posts. Honestly I don't know if it affected my reputation or not. I really don't pay attention to it. I have always been honest and respectful in all responses I give. I have disagreed with some, I explain my point and leave it at that.
I wouldn't worry about it, your just at the beginning of your adventure in mylot, your reputation will grow again. Mine was 1 at one time, it didn't stop me from working the site. I still earned regardless.
I hope you have success here..

Just be yourself, be honest and respect others. You will do just fine. I have seen others go off on others and it ends up in a fight. I don't get involved in those because it just isn't a good way to try and solve others problems. Sometimes they have to work it out for themselves.
Enjoy your time here, answer things you truly have an answer to. That is what I do. If I don't have a good reply I go on to the next until I find something I can add good content to.
Thank you

well i got some experience with you. my rate down from 9 to 7 and i wonder why. well, once i visit some discussion and one of the mylotter insult other religion, and i only said to him not to insult another religion because we are all the same in this world. i dont know if it is the factor that made my rate down or what.

Religion topic is very sensitive thats why there are rules that if we are in public places there are few topics to avoid. They are religion and politics. If you decide to go ahead you can but you must be aware that matters can stir up.

Always, always be honest and truthful about what you think! This is a discussion community after all! While I know reputation can matter a bit, and it might be nice to get a high rating on MyLot, a rating is a rating. I'd rather have truthful, honest responses to my discussions, not have people lie about what they think whether they disagree with what I think or not.

I tend to stay out of the religion section due to the fact that it becomes a big "Your way of thinking is wrong!" debate.
